Last weekend we presented 4 foals for AWHA Assessment, judged by German Olympic rider, Bettina Hoy. It was a great opportunity to have International eyes have a look at some foals by our first season sire, Forenz. We were very pleased that Bettina's comments confirmed our own thoughts, these foals are superb!! The highest scoring foal was our Forenz x Bloomfield Vogue c**t, followed by a Forenz x Bloomfield Marazita filly and a Forenz x Bloomfield Valentine c**t. We also had a Versace x Bloomfield Royal Secret c**t assessed. All foals were awarded Platinum (the highest grading), and two of the foals scored over 90%.

It's been a busy night. This is foal number 3 since midnight. A beautiful Versace filly. Just after midnight the first alarm went off, and within half an hour of a Fürst Love c**t being born, the alarm went off again for another Fürst Love c**t.

Position available. Immediate start. We require a capable person to work with young horses (foals to 3 yr olds), preparing horses for sales, assisting with mares and foals, cleaning stables and other general stable hand and stud farm duties.
A full time position is available until mid January, but could also become a permanent position or a part-time/casual position from mid January.
Applicants need to be competent, confident, physically fit and motivated. Experience with young horses would be an advantage.

Bloomfield Vesper is a top quality competition prospect with an incredible character and super trainability. He is from a proven mare family, with progeny achieving great success in competition, from Assessment Tours through to EA Dressage. Vesper himself was Victorian Champion Colt as a foal for ACE Assessment Tour. His full brother Bloomfield Valente was Australian Open Champion for AWHA. The finished product!! Our Arena Mirrors are up and looking fantastic, thanks to Russell Jarrett from Jarrett Arena Mirrors. We also had roll down blinds installed (by Wagga Blinds) so the mirrors can be covered when we are free running young horses. The middle mirror panel has been set up on a swinging gate so as not to block access through the original gateway (which will be handy when the Indoor Arena is built behind this arena!!).

The AWHA Assessment Tour visited Bloomfield Farm yesterday, and we are delighted with the results and comments from Assessors, Michael Schmidt and Rosalind Meadmore. We presented 7 Versace foals for Assessment with all 7 scoring over 80%, including 4 over 87.5%. Our highest scoring foal was a Versace x Whisper colt with a very impressive 88.52%, followed closely by our Versace x Blue Hors Zack colt on 88.2%. We ended up taking out 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing in the Victorian Open Led Awards. Michael made comment about the extraordinary consistency of incredibly high quality throughout the Versace progeny.
