Meadowvale Horse Breaking strives for the best start for your horse. We have enough room that allows large vehicles and trucks to turn around.

Your horses will have the highest level of care and safety when staying with us by using a number facilities:
- Sand round yard
- Barn style stables
- Cattle rail day pens
- Cattle rail paddocks
- Stallion paddock
- Vet crush
- Stallion milking area
- Foaling down yard
and much more. If your horse is unhandled there is the ability to back into a gate with a lane way on it.

would anyone be travelling from or passed bundaberg to Dalby or bundaberg to gympie in the next couple of days and have a spare spot on the float or truck for one of my horses to catch a ride?? happy to help with abit of fuel of course :)

Good morning, my wonderful friends and followers.

I am writing to you all with some bitter sweet news. Due to a change in circumstances, I have decided to take some continuous stable employment back at a feedlot. However, not all is lost. All it will mean is that I am available to take horses needing miles or introduction to cattle. Maybe even just some good old-fashioned wet heavy saddle blankets.

I will still be taking on 2 breakers at a time, and both breakers will do time n long days as part of the 6 or 8 week breaking in program.
I will also be offering riding horses on my days off where possible.

I do hope you will continue to support us by intrusting us with your 4 legged friends. Sometime today, I will update my prices to align with these changes. We aim for this change to be short term and hope to be back up and running in full swing again soon.

We love helping all types of horses on their path through life, and this will never change.

Always remember for every action, there is a reaction. Allow us to help make it a positive one.

Yesterday was a happy but sad time. Where did time go? From watching you walk down the truck ramp, Thinking oh gee what have i gotten my self into, But before i knew what hit me your big goofy head had grown on me. We had many adventures and interesting times big guy. You taught me so many things throughout your stay with us. You also brought back old memories for lots of lovely gentleman and ladies reminding them of the old days.I am gonna miss your big head first thing in the morning. Go get em big guy..

Cece joined us to be broken in as a 3yr thoroughbred filly. wow was one word that come to mind when I first worked with her. the little girl had plenty of fire in that sweet eye, once we were able to put her fire aside Cece become to understand she didn't need to fight us, she opened up into such a sweet honest little girl who wouldn't hurt a fly.

Boy, oh boy, haven't we been busy. With horses coming and going, wonderful people turning up to ride in some night rides on horses broken by us. We have had some ups and downs as well as surprises that have jumped out of the blue but hopefully explain a lot. Keep an eye out for some posts soon.

What a big day yesterday was for us here at Meadowvale Horse Breaking. From the almighty Joog having his first outing, he was accompanied by Danny.
We then got a call to help move 3 young big horses.
We couldnt think of a better way to end the day then on the back of big Frank.
Yesterday I rode my smallest horse at the start of the day and ended it on the biggest horse. What a wonderful day. Thank you to those couple of mates who invited us and the lady that helped take pictures.

Hats off to you big Frank. Not only can you handle pulling whatever we put behind you, but having you also allow me to take seat and ride you is a pleasure mate. I look forward to our adventures, even though I will have to duck most of the time hahaha :)

Welcome Cece...
This beautiful bold filly has come to us so can she can start her life under saddle. ( I do have to say a big thank to the one and only joog stepping it up and filling outlaw shoes with leading, catching and handling breakers. keep in mind joog him self is only a breaker.)

Without further ado I bring to you the one and only Reggie. Reggie is the gelding that got sold with dreamer. Because Reggie is such a special type of bloke he will be for the bestest of homes only.

This week we have welcomed dreamer back with big arms and smiles. I sold dreamer a couple years ago and fortunately she was offered back to us along with a gelding. It didn't take long for dreamer to find her new forever loving home, we will continue to work alongside dreamer before she heads off to her future life.

We would like to say a warm welcome and goodbye to Little Jimmy. Little Jimmy came to us for Miles, little did we know he would be changing homes in this time. Jimmy has proved himself countless times, he proudly showed that he can not only tackle everything that gets thrown at him but he can also look after his rider while doing so. We were lucky enough to join the dots and Jimmy found young Lucy 😊 Check out the photos below where you can see the heartwarming moments of his old owners wishing him well.

It is with great happiness that we would like to wish Banjo and his own a very safe and fun filled journey together. Banjo come to us to be broken in, Over the 6 weeks we exposed Banjo to many things to insure that he was ready for whatever life chucks his way. The other special part of Banjo's start to life was Demi. Banjo was the first horse where Demi start under the guidance of my self.

Thank you Banjo for being the gentleman you are and allowing us to help you understand your purpose in life.

Meaddowvale horse breaking prides our selfs in making sure all parties are happy not just the 4 legged ones. As banjo is nearing the end of his time with us we invited his owner to climb aboard and join us for our ride. It was a great feeling watching the both of them get along and understand each other. thank you again banjo for make us look good 🙂.

We like to pride ourselves here at Meadowvale in knowing that our breakers can overcome any obstacles or weather that they may encounter on life's journey.

Here is Joog and Banjo out today in some heavy rain, lightning and thunder. These pair of cool, calm and collected boys handled it like some old pros.

We would also like to send a huge thank you to Alex for stepping up and braving the storm and also riding a breaker while Demi takes some time off.
You did well mate, I appreciate it and glad that our awsome little Joog looked after you.

Here at Meadowvale Horse Breaking, we offer all kinds of services. we got an enquiry in regards to some aged horses that need to be transported to there new paddock. They hadn't been handled in a number of years. As you can see by the pictures below, we were able to successfully halter, load and transport them to there new home. we would like to thank the owners for intrusting us with such a delicate job.

We would just like to say a great big thank you to Demi Brockhurst. Demi has been helping us with breakers, older horses and giving lessons to children. Demi you are a credit to your self and have learnt so much in such a small amount of time. Here are some photos of Demi and some of the things she has experienced and learned with the time she has spent with us. We would like to hope she will continue to grow and obtain the skills required to become a horse breaker if that was the path she chooses to go down. So again we send you a great big thank you mate.( Demi also does all the videos and photos while I ride.)

It is with a huge heavy heart that I have to inform everyone that our lovely Meadowvale Outlaw has been sold to a wonderful family home. Outlaw will be a young boys mustering horse and pleasure Mount.

I would personally like to thank you girl for all the good times we have had together. You have been a pick up horse to a kids pony and everything in-between. I will never forget chasing scrub cattle or cutting cattle out at the feedlot. Outlaw you will be sadly missed girl and have left a big whole in my team and an even bigger whole my heart.

Just a update Vegas

Due to the handsome Vegas being a special type of horse his owns have sold him to us. Vegas requires a firm but kind way of being treated, He has taught us alot and we will continue to understand each other on his journey under saddle.

In a few weeks time we will have this special fella up for sale, however he will need a experienced home.

Welcome to me mate Joog, this cracker of a c**t has come to us unhandled, unbroken and ready to start his education.
Joog is keeping us on our toes and we are sure he dreams of being a show jumper one day 🤣
We have taken his education slow as we cater to each horse and what works for them, joog had to get a better understanding of the world and he continues to amaze us with his intelligence and absolute love of humans.

Today we had our first ride together and it was everything we could have hoped for, when you work your way up from the ground the success shines through. Today joog made us all proud and took everything in his stride.

We will continue to share the next few weeks and what they hold for him

Just 2 weeks ago we welcomed the handsome Banjo, this young QH came to us with a few quirks and we have been learning about each other very quickly. Banjo is a smart young man with a world of potential ahead of him.
In the last 2 weeks we have put hours of groud work creating an awesome foundation for this gentleman to carry on for many years to come. From unbroken at the start of his time here to now He has had a handful of amazing rides under his saddle including trail rides through the environmental park around traffic and through a number of obstacles and he tackles each one like a champ.
We are so excited to see how this bloke ends up and can't wait to watch his incredible progress over the next coming weeks.

The time has come to say good bye to solar! Can you believe that is has been 6 weeks since this beautiful Mare arrived? 🤩 It has been such a blast working with her! Solar is such a loving and giving Mare. Watching her journey and how far she has come, makes me excited for her next chapter. Here is a short video of Solar before she heads back to continue her journey with her owners. (Sorry for no music, I’m unsure how to add it. I am a horse man, not a computer man 😝)
