Coolmore Stud was at its finest when we visited and stayed overnight in the historic stone cottage built in the late 1800’s. Such a privilege. Thanks to Brian for his great hospitality and tour of the beautiful stud and to the staff involved in showing us the stallions. It was great to view So You Think and Pierro who will serve two of our broodmares this season.

What a glorious two days we spent at Darley Kelvinside Stud Farm earlier this week. A stunning facility to behold and we were treated to such generous hospitality on site at the guesthouse. It was a joy to meet the mighty Anamoe in the flesh and to view an array of superb stallions that are cared for by such dedicated and skilled staff. We also loved viewing Native Trail who will serve two of our broodmares this season. Thank you Arvin for all you did on behalf of Darley Godolphin to make us feel so welcome.

This morning two of our beautiful broodmares ‘Shirley Rainbow’ by Fastnet Rock) who has the 🍓 on her shoulder and ‘There She Comes’ ( by Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente) left home for their journey to the Hunter Valley. First to Riversdale Stud to relax, then on to Coolmoore Stud where Shirley Rainbow will be served by ‘Pierro’ and There She Comes will be served by ‘So You Think’. Two outstanding mares who will combine with stallions of such superb quality, to no doubt produce progeny that will be a joy to behold. We are so excited for their next chapter.

Today our lovely c**t (Headwater x Skymist) is Lot 1715 at the Magic Millons Yearling Sale. He is a beauty and we are keen to see him sell into the hands of someone who will be able to make the most of his lovely nature and physical strength. He has superb x-rays and looks a treat thanks to Neville and Alistair at Oakland’s Stud.

This coming Monday, 20th March, our next Lindeman Lodge yearling hits the dance floor. She is Lot #134 of the Magic Millions QTIS sale at the Gold Coast.

‘Spiethy’ as she is known to us at home, has been an absolute pleasure to raise. Oaklands Stud will be presenting her on our behalf for the sale.

This beauty has returned a farm scope of low risk and has a straight Rating 1 (low risk) with her Xrays. Her final scope for the Magic Millions Catalogue repository will be performed later this week when she arrives at the Gold Coast.

‘Spiethy’ is out of the strong, attractive mare Raffinato. We also own Raffinato and she is currently at home with us at Lindeman Lodge enjoying the good life, while now in foal to the mighty Encryption.

Raffinato’s racing record shows that she had Metro wins in 3 states and she certainly was a very gutsy type of mare. She is by Fastnet Rock.

‘Spiethy’ is Raffinato’s third foal. Her first foal is a 3yo by Kobiyashi. This 3yo is unraced and we are led to believe from research, that he suffered an injury last year, hence still remains unraced at this time.

Raffinato’s 2nd foal ‘Oh Deer’ is a 2yo. She is a FULL SISTER to ‘Spiethy’ and is currently with John O’Shea at Hawkesbury, (refer Racing Australia website) after selling for a respectable 60k at her yearling sale in 2022 at Perth Magic Millions. Looking through videos of that filly she shares nearly identical characteristics to our yearling ‘Spiethy’.

‘Spiethy’ has her QTIS first payment paid and is also BOBS Eligible for those showing interest from NSW.

We look forward to heading to the Gold Coast sale and warmly thank Alistair & Neville at Oaklands Stud for presenting this brilliant filly in excellent condition for bidding on Monday 20th March.

We want to wish the new trainer Nat McCall Racing and owners of our Microphone x Lonesome c**t - better known at our place as ‘Elvis’ all the very best for his racing future. He has had class about him from weanling days and looked spectacular in the ring at Magic Millions in January when we sold him on. We are so happy to see him go to a terrific stable. We don’t have to worry that he’s ‘Lonesome Tonight’. 😂

Today we welcomed Raffinato and her very ‘decorative’ Invader c**t home from Eureka Stud. They look a picture and have settled in well this afternoon. Thanks to Scott and the team at Eureka Stud for everything they have done to support this beautiful mare and foal. We look forward to Raffy’s next foal by Encryption, due in September. But for now, we can just enjoy having them home. 🌻
