On this day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men, women, and service animals who have given so much in the name of our freedom. We owe a debt of gratitude to those who have served, and continue to serve, in defense of our country.
As we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of our ANZACs, it’s important to remember the remarkable service animals who have also played a vital role in our history. During the Gallipoli campaign, many animals, including horses, mules, and even cats and dogs, helped transport supplies, carry wounded soldiers, and assist in communication. Their loyalty and resilience are a testament to the deep bond between humans and animals in times of war.
Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks not only to the human heroes but also to the animals who stood by their side, offering their unwavering support during one of the most challenging chapters of our history.
As we remember, let us give thanks to all who have served and continue to serve, with gratitude for their sacrifices.
The Ode of Remembrance:
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
Lest We Forget.
Please be advised that the team at Noble Veterinary Services will be taking the day to honor and pay tribute to those who have served. We appreciate your understanding and will resume normal operations on Wednesday 01/05. Thank you for your support.
