The art of keeping your dog engaged during training sessions 👀

Many owners when training their dogs come across a common hiccup in training and that’s keeping their dogs attention. Some people will quickly jump to the conclusion that their dog is ‘dumb’ or just doesn’t care but that’s not the case. When training your dog, especially when starting out we need to teach our dogs to keep their attention on us and be engaged with us. Without this engagement it’s impossible to teach your dog new skills.

Creating a bond with your dog through play as well as teaching them how to engage with you through positive reinforcement training techniques is essential to progress with your training. Once you have mastered keeping your dog engaged the training possibilities are endless.

Did you know that your ‘aggressive’ dog is probably just scared?

Did you know we offer Walk & Trains to help assist with this. Walk & Trains can be as regular as you would like to schedule with many people opting for a weekly or fortnightly service. This service will enable you to reach your training goals which could be as simple as stopping your dog from pulling on the leash to reducing your dog’s reactively towards other animals and people.

BOARD AND TRAINS NOW OFFERED!!

Now offering board and train programs for puppies ages 8wks to 9 months*! Your puppy will be trained in the trainers home on a beautiful 5 acre property with no outdoor kennels. Your dog will stay inside the home and will be trained one on one over the course of their program. It is a 5 day long board and train from Monday to Friday.

This is a great option for owners who may be going away and want their puppy trained while they are gone on holiday or for those struggling to get a head start in training and are wanting a kick start to set their puppy up for success in life. Board and train places are extremely limited due to the one on one nature of the course.

Your board and train program is built specifically for your dog but all come with:
- Pre board and train consult
- Daily updates
- Personalised training booklet to continue training
- Post board and train handover consult

Happy New Year everyone!! 🥳

Thank you for everyone's patience over the holiday period. Stay tuned as we have some very exciting announcements in the next few weeks.

We will be open for new bookings as of February so if you're wanting some training for your pup please reach out. As some are aware last month my house partially burned down so it's been a complex process of sorting everything out so I can get back into dog training again.

Looking forward to the year ahead and meeting lots of new dogs along the way
