This sweet little girl was so well behaved for her first visit today, she hasn’t been with her family long but has already captured their heart 💓
Her furmums favourite milestone, and most impressive yet, is definitely her “Spider-Man jumps” 🥰

Our pets have so many milestones throughout their life that are worth celebrating;
The first vet visit 🏥
Hitting that goal weight 🦴
or celebrating that first senior birthday 🎁

So if it’s your first time in the clinic or you visit us regularly, ask the nurses if they can snap a photo of your pet and tell us your favourite milestone so we can share them for all our Little Critters Family to see 🥰

We thought everyone would like their daily dose of cuteness to be from “Olive” 🥰
She has recently joined her new furever family and even though her first visit involved having a blood test, she was so brave for Dr Anna! (All the treats helped but shhh that’s her little secret 🤫) 💞

30/06/2024

🚨 Dr Anna is running solo this week whilst Dr Mel is away on a holiday, so our opening hours for this week will be 7:30-5:30pm.
Our extended Thursday night hours will recommence as usual next week.
Thankyou for your understanding ☀️

We are extremely proud that Little Critters has taken home one of the Bundamba Small Business Awards for 2024 🎉

The Little Critters team would like to commend Dr Mel on this achievement ✨ You have not only built a practice that’s dedicated to the health and well being of all our furry friends but you have also aided in the foundation of an ever growing family from the small streets of bundamba all the way to the greater Ipswich region. ✨

Thankyou to our local community for your continued support, and congratulations to Bruce! We look forward to seeing you and your best friend at your next visit 🎊

On the 28th of March ‘Kit’ presented to the clinic completely collapsed and non-responsive after being bitten by a Red Belly Black snake 🐍 at home.
He was so severely affected by the venom that we weren’t sure if he was going to pull through……
but after nearly three weeks in hospital and a following two weeks of supportive care at home by his very dedicated owner ‘Kit’ is well on his way to a full recovery. Such a tough little guy❤️❤️❤️

Today we celebrate World Veterinary Day! 😇

🗓️ This day is celebrated annually and was created by The World Veterinary Association to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts provided by veterinarians towards animal health and wellbeing around the world.

Dr Mel and Dr Anna advocate daily for our furry legged companions that are unable to speak for themselves and they both constantly go above and beyond to ensure they receive the care that they need. ❤️‍🩹

Whilst we can all acknowledge that you help all animals that walk through the clinic doors, you both also contribute towards the physical and mental wellbeing of humans as well and for that we all say thankyou! 🥰

Morning everyone🌞…. Just some housekeeping.
As the days get shorter, we have had less interest in our Thursday late nights. As a result, we have decided to be open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY from 5.30pm-7.30 pm on Thursday nights so that we can head home if we have no appointments booked. 🌈…. Photo of Maude for fb tax❤️

Hi! My name is Milton! 🐾

I am a very loving and sweet young man, on the hunt for my new family.
I love to play and cuddle, and will happily lap up all your attention 🥰

I am currently living with a beautiful foster family, so you can’t come and meet me just yet but if you think I might be a good fit into your family: Little Critters is now taking applications for my adoption. YAY!!

My adoption fee is $200, which includes any vaccinations due before adoption, microchipping and desexing.

I expect I will be pretty popular (how could I not with a face like this? 😇) so you will need to complete an application form and then the Little Critters Ladies will choose the home best suited to my needs. 🏡

If you would like an application form, please email [email protected] or you can collect one directly from the clinic.

Thanks! I can’t wait to meet my new family. 🩵

‼️ Please remember that snakes are still out in full force even as the temperatures are slowly dropping‼️

On Wednesday the Little Critters team were unlucky
enough to have not only 1 but 2 dogs rushed into the
clinic after being bitten by a snake 🐍

Hank was found with a snake in his mouth but his
owners didn’t hesitate and brought him in immediately.

Snake bite patients need to be kept calm and
unfortunately poor Hank couldn’t stop stressing in his
cage so Nurse Chloe sat with him whilst monitoring
him for the afternoon, just providing him with that little
bit of company he needed 🐾

If you think your pet has been bitten, don’t wait.. every
second counts ⏳

📣Have you checked that your pet’s microchip details are up to date❓

When your dog or cat is microchipped the number on the chip is recorded against the owners details and kept on file at the microchip registry. This registry is separate from council and completely independent of veterinary clinics and any details recorded in our software.

At Little Critters we estimate that around 40% of the pets that we scan when they arrive at the clinic have microchips that are not up to date with the correct owner details or are still in the previous owners name.

Unfortunately if these details aren’t updated you can’t be contacted if your pet goes missing.

To ensure a happy reunion we recommend the following:

✅ Locate your pets microchip number. If you are unsure we are more than happy to scan and provide you with the number.
✅ use the petaddress.com.au search engine and enter your pets microchip number. This will provide you with the database the details are registered with.
✅ Complete a change of ownership or update your current details.
✅ If you or your pet has relocated from NSW then it’s recommended to organise a new registration for your pets microchip as the NSW microchip registry isn’t able to be accessed here in QLD.

We are not legally able to change your details here in clinic as it is your responsibility but we can happily point you in the right direction if you need assistance 🐶

Simply type the microchip number in the search field; then click to search. If your number is found in one of the databases you will be directed to the database for further information.

🚨Due to Dr Mel enjoying a well deserved adventure till mid next week, we are unable to be open for our extended hours tonight so we will be closing at 5:30pm.
If you have an emergency or your pet needs to be seen urgently, please contact ARH on 07 3172 0593.

😺 Important update for our Feline parents 😺

There is still a nation wide shortage of feline vaccinations due to supply chain issues after COVID, it is unknown at this stage how long this will continue into 2024 🙁.

If you have any current concerns about your cats health, we still urge you to schedule your cat’s annual health check.

We will keep you updated on facebook on the availability of feline vaccines. In the mean time if you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team. 07 3816 0210
