Pet of the Month - February 2024
Meet the regal Mr Harvey. Dear Harvey came to us this month, lame on his hind leg. After some initial treatment of pain relief, we did an X-ray of Harvey's foot to ensure there wasn't anything more sinister going on. This X-ray uncovered that Harvey had broken his toe.
Due to the nature of the break, and the location, it was determined that unfortunately it would never heal, and the best option moving forward was to amputate the toe.
Harvey now one toe short is still just as much a real dog as any other, and once the healing process is complete will be much happier for it.
Harvey also demonstrated perfectly in this video, why we as vets love our cones of shame! As whilst Harvey's toe is healing beautifully if he was able to get to it and lick it, as he thinks he is, then we would be in a world of trouble and need new stitches!
The gorgeous Harvey has been a gentleman in all his visits, and we can't wait to be able to give him the thumbs-up to take off the cone 😉
When you don't realise that your at the vet for a dental and not play time!!
Meet our staff pets:
Meet the cheeky personality that is Harri (aka Harris). Harri was an adoption of a client of ours, that Nurse Felicity just fell in love with. Harri is a cheeky 1.5yr old DSH.
It is said that tuxedo cat are bipolar mad, but mad in love with their owners, and that is definitely how I would describe Harri.
He loves wrestling with the dogs, doing zoomies around the house (usually at 4am in the morning 😜), nibbling on my hands, baking biscuits on his blanket and cuddling.
Hello from Bundanoon Veterinary Hospital
We are very excited about our new outdoor playpen for our boarding cats which we took delivery of last week. Peppa is very excited about it too.
This joey was found on a road in Bundanoon on Tuesday - unfortunately she had been hit by a car. We are very please to report that she has gone to a carer and is likely to make a full recovery
