You may have noticed we've been MIA for a little while, and that's because we've been busy behind the scenes updating our business model, re-designing our branding, getting marketing products organised, and researching/ experimenting with NEW handmade products.

We've also decided to disconnect our previous phone number, so our best contacts are via email ([email protected]) or direct message.

We'll be updating our page more regularly with product availability, sneek peaks at behind the scenes, upcoming events, and sales.

Sold!

We have ten muscovy ducks for sale — one drake, and nine hens, all aged 4 to 5 months old.

They are all friendly, will come to a feed bucket, and have been raised around children, dogs, cats, sheep, and cows. They currently free-range at day, and get locked into a coop at night.

Perfect as breeders, pets, or for the freezer.

We would prefer to sell in pairs/ groups/ as a lot.

Honey Hills is a local honey producer located in Bundarra, and their beeswax comes to us pure and unfiltered. To make this product cosmetically suitable (i.e., safe to use on your skin), we slowly heat the beeswax until it is melted, then filter out any impurities that naturally occur in the wax as the bees make it. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒅. 𝑵𝒐 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒅!

The quality of this beeswax is amazing! It looks and smells like caramel fudge with beautiful honey overtones 🤩.

As we are now able to source larger quantities of this amazing local beeswax, we will be increasing our production of lip balms and salves, as well as adding several new beeswax products (that we'll be announcing soon 👀)!

The inaugural Bundarra Garden Festival is on this weekend, November 11th and 12th (10am-4pm each day), and you're invited!

Ridgestead will have a small stall at Bundarra Preschool today (and possibly tomorrow) to showcase some of our local homegrown and handmade products!

There will be some beautiful gardens on display, with some offering refreshments. Plus, The Court House Museum, Bottle Museum, The Bridge Stores , Commercial Hotel, and General Store will all be open too.

Why not make a day of visiting our beautiful village and all it has to offer?

We're busy getting ready for the Bundarra Anglican Church - Fundarra Church Markets this Saturday 21st October 10am - 2pm.

We'll have a stall ourselves this time, with some brand new products — all homegrown and/or handmade at Ridgestead!

What we'll have:

🌱 Pastured free-range eggs — half dozen and dozen (large or extra large sizes available)

🌱 Pak choi — organically grown, freshly picked Saturday morning

🌱 Lip balm — handmade using all natural ingredients (including local beeswax). Perfect for keeping lips moist and soft

🌱 Calendula salve — handmade using organically grown Ridgestead calendula, and all natural ingredients. Perfect for helping to heal minor wounds, bites, stings, or dry/ irritated/ inflamed skin

We'll be at Tingha Community Markets tomorrow from 8am - 1pm, so beat the egg shortage and grab some delicious free-range pastured eggs from our happy healthy hens!

And we're baaaaack!

We are starting the season slowly, with eggs available now, and picked to order warm-season veggies and flowers coming within the next couple of months.

We've also got some other (super secret 👀) products lined up to release within the next six months, so watch this space!

An order that's been delivered this morning- organically-grown silverbeet and baby carrots, freshly harvested, washed and bundled.

While we aren't selling carrots just yet (they need another week or so to be perfectly sized baby carrots) we gifted this bunch to a lovely customer as a sample.

Huge thanks to our amazing customers who have been supporting us so far, we really do appreciate each and every order!

The garden is looking beautiful this morning, with the early morning sun shining on the carrots, beetroot, garlic, parsnip, peas, lettuce, and silverbeet. The bees were also out and about early, enjoying the older pak choy plants we've let go to flower.

We've planted six varieties of beans this week, and will be planting corn, plus more carrots and beetroot in the coming days. It's been a bit tricky trying to organise planting around the weather (between the big rain, hot days, and now we're expecting an overnight temp of close to 0°C next week), but the garden is slowing filling up with warm season vegetables and flowers.

Beautiful fresh eggs collected this morning! These lovelies are ready for pick-up from Bundarra (delivery to Inverell by appointment), $4.00 per dozen, minimum 700g. If you would like to order eggs, please DM us with how many dozen you would like, and when you would like to collect, so that we can arrange contactless pick-up. If anyone is wondering about the small eggs we sometimes supply, don't be scared of using these smaller sized bantam eggs- they're just as fresh and delicious as the larger eggs. Our two young daughters actually prefer to eat bantam eggs, as they are a perfect size for them. When using bantam eggs in baking, I generally use two eggs for every one that the recipe states.
