Proud to announce that I have been on boarded as a QOTT retrainer for Racing QLD.

I am looking forward to playing a role in the pathway for horses racing and beyond.

Like many of us, I grew up riding solely thoroughbreds. They are such an athletic, versatile animal and I’m looking forward to producing a select few per year to shine the light on.

I did a little reflecting here and have dug out some 10+ year old photos of my first thoroughbred, some important ones in between and most recent.

With some of the quality out there, I’m sure they will keep the warmbloods in the stables on their toes! 😃

Presenting “Hollingrove Tosca”.

Tosca is a 7yo gelding by Tuschinski out of an imported Sandro Hit mare (Sante Fe). Standing at 15.3hh he is a compact, easy to put together horse.

He has a stunning front, with a beautiful, fine face and eye catching markings - bling central!

He is training elementary/ medium level. Has done most of his competing in showing. He is very soft in the contact and not too sharp to the leg.

Tosca is an absolute goober - he would suit a rider that likes a horse with personality. His nose seems to have a “human magnet” on it and he sucks on peppermints for 10 minutes. He is very sweet and happy go lucky. Easy to have around, paddocked and stabled next to mares, stallions etc.

5yo gelding by For Romance out of an Alessandro/ Sandro Hit mare. Standing at 17hh , Alfie is an impressive young horse.

Alfie has 3 quality, swinging paces. His canter is a real highlight. Whilst he is tall, he is quite compact and has a soft, easy back to sit on. I am 5’2 for context.

He moves nicely off the leg and has a soft connection in the hand. He has a trainable character. He has also been popped over some jumps and did super! With his owner riding overseas, he has not competed yet due to no fault of his own.

Fully X-rayed including back. Currently barefoot.

Presenting for sale “Fast Train” - Judd is an 8yo, 16.2hh thoroughbred. Eligible newcomer. Judd is such a kind hearted fellow, a lovely comfortable ride and easy to do everything with.

He will make a great partner for someone wanting a horse to do a bit of everything with! He is working at a basic prelim level and starting some leg yielding. Popped him over some jumps - went straight over and really enjoyed it! He has a beautiful, soft snaffle mouth and can be ridden “up” or “down” - can cruise around or get to work. Happy to hack around the property, work in arena, around other horses etc.

He had a long, successful racing career so is yet to compete and is looking for his partner to enjoy the journey with. Has passed PPE since racing. He can windsuck when stabled.

Presenting Rosetta Blanc de Blanc. “Bianca” is a rising 4yo mare by Benicio out of an imported Royal Classic/ Don Crusader mare. Registered Hannover.

Bianca has honestly been one of the most straightforward horses to start under saddle. Benicio being a known producer for well tempered horses, and she’s a prime example. My first thought when working with her is that she would be perfect for someone’s first young horse!

She is very rideable, no dirt or over the top reactions to the leg or hand. Never lunge before riding - get on and go. Not phased by the busy environment that a professional barn can be. Happy in her paddock, stable, tied up in breezeway etc. Quite a “non- marey” type of mare.

She has 3 great elastic paces, is barefoot with super feet and is now looking for her dancing partner to continue the journey with.

This super young horse is available for riders with all levels of ambition. “Benchmark Frankie” is impeccably bred being by For Romance - known for quality and temperament with Bellissimo and Sandro Hit on the dam side which need no introduction.

He’s had the perfect amount of introductory handling and mouthing and is well equipped to commence under saddle later in the year. Easy to catch, stable, float, trim, wash, handle. He’s the perfect horse to have coming through!

Frankie is HHSA Gold foal, with 3 super gaits - big overtracking walk, expressive trot and a scopey uphill canter with a hindleg to match.

He has had introductory handling in preparation for breaking later this year - light lunging and mouthing, hosing, farriery, stabling etc and has taken it all like a duck to water with his sweet character.

Scooter is a 5yo, 14.3hh (unofficial) gelding by Black Delight out of a Fiderstern mare.

This boy has spectacular movement! He has a super reach and ground cover in his paces - suiting him for both the dressage and show ring.

He tries very hard to please and only wants to do the right thing - no buck, rear, spook, bolt and has a very genuine character. Soft snaffle mouth and light to the leg.

Happy in a stable, paddock, next to mares and geldings. Currently barefoot with good feet. Easy to catch, float and handle - no lunging before riding.

Whilst he is still green, he is looking for a capable dancing partner to develop together with and enjoy the journey with this quality youngster.

“Harley” is a 17hh, rising 11yo gelding by Ravello (Rubinstein) out of a Winterkoenig dam.

Harley is a pleasure to have around, easy to handle and a fun and safe ride under saddle. Having done numerous competitions with a young rider, he is reliable, without being too dull and has a super comfortable back to sit on - especially his lovely canter!

He has 3 correct paces, big over track in the walk, a good action in the trot and a super “climbing” canter which is lovely to sit on.

He has a soft snaffle mouth and is training at novice level, touching on some elementary work. Competed up to 1m show jumping, been out on trails, to the beach etc.

He does have low set fetlocks which would make him not particularly suitable for heavy straight showjumping work, which is reflected in his price. He is sound and healthy, in work and ready to find his new dancing partner.

Super opportunity to purchase a quality horse that a variety of riders will have a lot of fun with.

The first canter up the centreline with Sharellen Glissando at Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club 🤎

65% for first Advanced attempt - I couldn’t be happier! So much room for improvement still with a couple of expensive coefficient marks. She gave me such a good feeling in the test and worked her heart out for me. I can’t wait to keep seeing what this mare has in store 🥰

“Santana D” is a rising 10yo gelding, standing at 16.3 1/2 by Scolari out of a Gelriano dam.

He is training all the medium work, including an established change each way. Santana carries aeons of airtime in his paces and has a superb swing in his movement. He will continue to develop into a super horse.

This horse is as laid back as they come - I have put on a total beginner having their first ever ride. He is the kind of horse that you can ride up or down, a real diesel engine - he is happy to plod around with a more amateur rider or get put together and work for someone who asks.

He is an absolute sweetheart and a pleasure to have around. Easy to catch, shoe, float, clip etc. Genuine sale of a genuine horse.

Ventured out to Gold Coast Show on the weekend for something different with the queens of the stable - Finest Moment and Sharellen Glissando. Had a heap of fun at this beautifully run event, couple of ribbons, a lovely atmosphere and rounded it out with a swim in the water with the girls. Literally a perfect day! ☀️

The girls were prepared and turned out with Hairy Pony products. More specifically - washed with Natural horse and socks with Purple Shampoo, plaiting with Taming Wax and Braiding Mousse, heavy spray with diluted Essential Oil Coat Conditioner the night before show, quarter marker comb and brush for quarter markers and Silky Serum in tails 🙌🏼
