✨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

To our beloved Bubble Fam, it is with a heavy heart that we announce Bubble Pupz will cease operation on Thursday, August 8th, 2024.

Over the past two incredible years on the road, we've had the privilege of caring for your fur-family, forging genuine bonds and friendships. We've shared in the joy of new beginnings—births, marriages, new homes, and new fur-family members—and stood by you during moments of heartache and loss. The decision to end our grooming journey has been an incredibly difficult one, made after many tears and sleepless nights.

Firstly, We want to take a moment to acknowledge the challenges faced by small businesses. With the rising cost of living affecting so many, the record number of small business closures is truly heartbreaking. We encourage you to continue supporting small businesses, embracing any price increases or service changes with understanding and compassion. The balance of giving whilst also trying to survive is a difficult one, and sometimes kindness can make all the difference. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to step away on our own terms, knowing that many others haven't been as lucky.

Secondly, we would like to acknowledge our fellow animal care industry professionals for whom many share the same (sometimes) lifelong injuries from years of working with the physical demands that animals may bring. You are the MVPs.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our business partners and dear friends at Pet Care Hub Words cannot fully capture our appreciation for all you've done for us and what will continue to be shared personally and through TGSA.

And finally, to you—our incredible Bubble Fam—thank you. Without your trust, kindness, and unwavering support, we wouldn't have made it this far. It has been our absolute honour to pamper your fur-family with the love, patience, and care they deserve. We hope you'll stay connected with us through The Good Sit Academy - TGSA and know that we are proud to have been a part of this journey, made possible because of you.

We invite you to please stick around as we keep you updated on any potential new ownerships or recommendations for some of the amazing friends in the industry who will be there for your pups in the future. 💙

✨️ Happy Friday Bubble Fam! ✨️

Whilst we try to keep our posts pawsitive, we do need to address a concerning regular occurrence of late.

If you do happen to live locally to us or see our trailer parked outside of our home (particularly after hours) we respectfully request that unless we are outside and you're passing by or have a booking / invitation that you do not attend with your pet or request our services at that time.

We are always willing to help and chat where we can however our role as Mum and Dad to our human and fur family when at home is our sole focus. ❤️

✨DIY PET PRODUCTS✨

Firstly, when it comes to grooming at home - most groomers (including us) will 100% advocate for the safe and effective floof maintenance in between visits 🙌 BUT we also believe it is crucial that you know what isn't covered in the attractive marketing of these nifty products and why you won't find some of these on a pro-groomers wish-list.

So, let's chat about pet vacs... I mean, what isn't to love right? It can brush, de-shed AND suck up floof in one easy swipe!

✅ When used correctly in conjunction with a high-quality grooming routine (professional or otherwise), these may have the potential to yield sufficient results for some pet owners.

🔎 Choose evidence-based research > Brand influence. UNIVERSAL products do not always take in to consideration your pet's individual needs nor are they made to the same specifications of professional grade equipment. Professionals will often have a range of specialised equipment and undergo extensive training to effectively assess the varying needs of skin and coat structures and conditions.

❗️ The bulky design of the vacuum attachment will not allow adequate control of the pressure being applied increasing the likelihood of trauma to the skin barrier such as brush burn, abrasions or nicking of skin growths. This risk is heightened more-so if your pet has existing skin sensitivities.

🚩 Despite being marketed as "self-cleaning" the attachments themselves are not designed in a way that they can be easily disassembled or cleaned thoroughly to avoid easily transferable infections such as Furunculosis, Staphylococcal, Yeast and other bacterial and/or fungal conditions that can be present on insufficiently sanitised equipment - all conditions mentioned require treatment with your trusted veterinarian.

⏰ Improper use can significantly impact the integrity of your pet's coat causing breakage, over-stripping and even follicular damage resulting in stunted or poor growth of new coat.

✨ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING OUR SERVICES & PRICING FOR 2024 ✨

As we all know and have seen reflected in the increase of pricing, service changes or in some unfortunate cases, closure, of many small businesses since COVID-19, there is no doubt that the cost-of-living has impacted us all.

The quality of our service is something we are extremely passionate about and take great pride in caring for your fur-family like they are our own. Over the last 12 months, we have endeavoured to absorb as much of our operating costs as possible in order to return the loyalty and appreciation that we have been shown from our BP Family. In many cases, we have opted to operate at a monetary deficit simply because money is not what our driving force is. Much to our accountant's horror (sorry, T🙈).

So, it has come with a great deal of discomfort, some tears and harsh encounters with reality that we have been forced to review our services and increase pricing between $5.00 - $10.00 in some of our medium - extra-large style groom services in order to remain operational moving forward without compromising the level of service we provide.

We understand that this news is never ideal, however, we sincerely appreciate the support we have received from affected customers thus far.

In the new year, we will also be introducing some additional services to cater for a broader range of grooming and canine care needs and will communicate these on our website www.bubblepupz.dog and also where best aligned to the individual pupz in our care.

We thank you all for taking the time to read through this information, we encourage you to reach out to us any time if you have any queries or concerns.

WE'RE TURNING ONE! 🥳🎉 We cannot help but pinch ourselves - has it really been one whole year already?! 🤯 As we approached this milestone, we sat back and reflected on the journey and how incredibly humbled and proud we feel to be here. However, we know, without you - our Bubble Pupz family, this would simply not be possible. Through (literal) rain, hail & shine we have: 🗺Travelled over 10,000kms. ✂️Performed over 1,300 grooms. 🐶Excitedly welcomed over 150 first puppy grooms. 🌈Shared tears with the families of 7 senior pups that crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🙏Been blessed with 1 amazing business partnership. 🏆Won 2 grooming awards in 2022. ✨Nominated as one of the only mobile salons as a finalist for Best of Brisbane 2023. ✏️And still have, much, much more behind the scenes yet to come! Whilst it has certainly been a rollercoaster at times, above all else we recognise the phenomenal opportunity we have before us to be living out our passion for animal care and we thank you all for trusting us with your furry loved ones each and every day. Before meeting their special furever families, puppies Bowie & Betty are putting their best paws forward and experiencing crucial desensitisation with grooming. 🐶🐶 With their breeder already having done such a fabulous job at home with introducing some of the sensations from just a few weeks old, we were able to effortlessly extend on those sensations in the grooming environment. Here's a little snippet of how we encourage a positive relationship with dryers around the feet and face which are two common problematic areas we see for many pooches of all ages. By rewarding puppies with high-value treats each time they choose to explore/allow the dryer around these areas, they learn to trust us and the equipment with repeat positive exposures. Well done puppies! 🥰

BRUNO 🐾 Now at 9 months old, Bruno is pretty relaxed about this grooming stuff...

KIKI 🐾 Welcome to our newest Bubble Puppy Club cutie, Kiki the 17-week-old Toy Poodle 😍 She may be teeny but showed us just how big and brave she was handling everything along the way during her first groom experience today! How cute are the little snaps from Mum after we left? 🥰 Well done Kiki - see you again soon sweet girl! ❤

ELMO 🐾 With Jack Frost nipping at our noses this morning, we added some Samoyed snow to make it a Winter Wonderland with beautiful boy Elmo ❄️ He felt so relaxed during his pamper that he even started to fall asleep during his Pawdicure 🤗❤

ASHA 🐾 Welcome to our newest Bubble Puppy Club member, Asha the 16-week-old Poodle! 🐩 We love being able to set up our baby fur-friends on a positive journey so that by the time they're all grown up - they will fabulous, fearless and fantastic to groom! Asha's favourite part of her session today was the relaxing massage during bath time 😴❤

ARCHIE 🐾 A milestone moment happened today with our gorgeous TLC VIP Archie ✨ After 4 months of building a secure attachment relationship with Archie due being anxious reactive - watch as he freely gives up his paw when asked, this is such a brave and trusting offering for him and we couldn't be prouder! 🤩 WAY TO GO BUDDY!! 🥳

BUCKLEY 🐾 Following in his big sister Mayah's footsteps, baby Buckley (even if he is almost bigger) has joined the Puppy Club! Suffice to say we are equally obsessed with the head tilts, beautiful big ears and eyes -this sweet boy was putting his best foot forward today (literally) sharing his paw with us ready for nail trimming 🐾✂ Well done Buckley, we're so proud of you! 🥰
