These are the kind of transformations that can happen during a few weeks of Puppy Pre-School ✨
Meet Percival, AKA Percy. He was a very shy puppy who was very easily overwhelmed during his first lesson, growling at people or dogs who came too close to him.
But it was very clear he had a great bond with his owners already and good food drive (a major win). We spent the first couple of weeks giving him lots of space to make him feel safe, and incorporated lots of confidence building activities.
Fast forward to week 3 and Percy decided it was time to come out of his shell! 🥰 He initiated a play session with his new friend Lulu, as well as deciding Lulu’s dad would make a great training partner as well! Anyone who’s owned a timid dog knows that tall men in hats and sunnies can be very scary 😆 so Percy deciding to offer eye contact and a sit was such a big moment!
Hats off to Percy’s lovely family for putting in the hard work and trusting the process 🙌🏻 And to Lulu and Lola’s familes who were extremely understanding and supportive, it makes all the difference!
If you’ve got a nervous or timid puppy, reaching out to an experienced trainer as soon as possible will give you the best chance at seeing a positive transformation in your puppies behaviour that will follow them into adulthood 🐾

Meet Buzz 🐕
Buzz has been doing some one on one sessions at his home to work on building a calm and confident demeanor around other dogs.
1️⃣ Session 1 involved building his engagement and putting some basic communication systems in place.
2️⃣ And by Seasion 2 Buzz was able to take a walk with my dog Ginger, have a nice greeting with her and a bit of a play!
I’m so proud of Buzz’s progress, his pawrents have taken on all my advice and put it into practice, not to mention they’ve also been super consistent! 💛

On Sunday I had 7 dogs and 11 kids attend the Paws & Play Workshop. We learnt some new tricks, tried our skills on the agility course, but most of all we had FUN!
I was honestly in awe of the amazing relationships these kids had with their dogs, problem solving and building confidence together, all through play.
