Queen Willow getting her daily brush. 🐈‍⬛️

This character of a cat is back for her long term stay at the cattery so you may see her roaming around the cattery free ranging.

I try to allow as much freedom depending on a cats personality as possible if they're here for a while. Some cats cope great (like Willow) but some don't and health issues can come up during a stay if you have an anxious cat. 🐱

With this in mind it's always best to get a health check from the vets if your cat is easily stressed and sometimes anti-anxiety medication is the best thing for your pets stay.

I recommend trying to limit your cats boarding to 2 months or so if it's long term but sometimes circumstances occur and longer boarding can't be avoided so medication can really help with that.

Luckily this isn't the case with this Queen 👑 but I have seen other boarders not cope as well and their mental health and wellbeing is just as important as ours is.

Also can all school holiday drop offs start touching base with me for drop off times as it's really snuck up on me. How are we almost in July? ❄️

Whipper the pup guarding "his" cats. He's quickly learnt who's boss down at the cattery (Catto of course) and is calmly in his place (outside 🤣)

School holidays start at the end of this week and the cattery is filling up fast but there are spots available for anyone needing last minute boarding. 🙂

🐱 Price change July 1st 2025 🐱

Hi everyone. As of next month Cattery rates are changing to
$15 per cat per night for a single cat and $13 per cat per night for 2+ cats.

I know everyone's feeling the pinch with the cost of living but with the kids getting older and eating more then most adults I've had to do it 😆.

I will of course honour the old rate for clients who have made previous bookings.

Thankyou all for your understanding. I love my job and want to keep the business viable.
Working with animals and being my own boss is the best!

Hope everyone is staying warm with the change of season. My 3 cats and puppy have certainly discovered in front of the fire is the best place to be! 😁🔥

Hot pink cat box and homemade scratching posts made from "junk" lying around the place.

It probably cost me $10 bucks to make these. I love upcycling and making things out of scrap materials.

Turned this old weather beaten cat box into a cat bed with legs! I didn't take a before pic but here's a similar one that's next to do up!

Kitten refused to model it for me so bribery was offered so he'd sit on top.

Lots of fun turning old things into something with a purpose. I love how it's come up! Self build cattery furniture is far more durable then commercial stuff these days.

Introducing the new puppy Whipper to the family.
Sadly we lost out beautiful doorbell (Bella) over the New year who did a great job alerting me to cattery clients arrivals.

We waited a few months before getting this little ball of cheeky Whipper. He's a great addition to the home but can people please be aware I'm finding it difficult to hear cars arriving and Whipper may be outside (I will try minimise this as much as possible).

Feel free to toot the horn on arrival to let me know you're here. 🚗🚗🚗

Everyone is fantastic at driving carefully and slowly in the driveway but I'm still training the pup so just to be safe slow and aware is best. Most of you know I have cats and ducks anyway so I'm not too worried. 🐕🐕

I have had a doorbell in the past but annoyingly the high Byaduk winds set it off constantly so beeping is fine by me. 🔔

Have a lovely weekend everyone and R.I.P Bella.
We miss her a lot (don't miss the constant barking but she did her job well 🤣)

We have a kitten in the house and the regulars are not too sure about it 🤣🤣🤣

If you are getting a kitten I recommend starting their boarding experience early around 12+ weeks of age even if it's just a day or so. It helps them adjust early in life and not have separation anxiety down the track.
Kittens tend to cope a lot better with change I've found.

Happy New Year everybody

Here's a vid of the new works done to the cattery. I still have more things to fine tune but all in all I'm happy with the new space.

I can't wait to finish revamping the cattery but we all know how renovations go and some things will have to wait until the holiday season is over. 🎄🌞🌊

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and whatever you're doing tonight I hope you bring in the New year doing what you love. 😊

The cats and I are enjoying the moderate temperature and it's nice and chilled here at the moment.

Can all expected cat drop offs over the Christmas period please contact me regarding drop off times.
Hours are 10-12pm and 4-6pm Monday to Saturday, Sunday closed.

Please also note Christmas day and New years day I'm closed and New years eve I only have morning hours for drop off/pick ups.

Hi everyone.

I'm back from holidays and re-opened now but unfortunately while I was gone my facebook personal profile which is linked to this cattery page was hacked.

While I've got control of it again some contacts have told me they've received friend requests from a fake profile under my name.

Please DO NOT accept friend requests from a Kym Monaghan or any variations of my name.

Keep vigilant as hacking seems to be getting worse and I strongly suggest for people to add extra security such as a secondary authentication app like 2FAS.

I'm lucky it could of been worse. It took me many many hours to gain back control and I could of lost the page entirely. A lot of my contact is made through this page so I was very determined not to give up.

In the event that does happen I will always be contactable on my phone number.

Also please note some renovations are currently happening down at the cattery (pics to come) but will not disrupt this week's boarders as the main works were done while I was closed.

Will see many of you soon for the upcoming holidays.

It's that time of year again!

The cattery is currently closed and will re-open Monday 25th November. I will return all messages and calls then as I'm off to Tassie for the week.

The kids kindly put in some work before the deep clean of the cattery gets done this week while I'm away. This is the first year I haven't done the clean myself so I'm looking forward to seeing it when I get back. 🧹
