FANTASTIC RAIN 🌧️

WOW! what a busy few days with the new shed building, thanks to constructions, awesome work Jack & Jake 🤩

…they just made it out before the storm dropped 88mm of beautiful, dam filling rain 🌧️ 🙌🏻

A complete new shed constructed over our Goat Handler with some additional room inside it for setting up some IT stuff and seated area, for hosting the 2-Day Goat Workshop, which is happening on 7th & 8th of March at Hendon Park!

Even put a roof over the new cattle crush, and will be building new goat yards and top dressing the old ones!!

Southern Aurora will be offering 2 schools for people in March 2025, taken by a long term South African judge and breeder. Vaatjie Nell (Fikie) runs stud and commercial stock, and his father was in the original group of farmers in the Eastern Cape that developed the Boer Goat as a breed. He has immense knowledge and has been around boer goats for 60 years.
Workshop 1 - March 3rd (straight after Goulburn Show) at Carrington View Tallong NSW.
Workshop 2 - March 7th snd 8th at Hendon Park Boer Goats Roma QLD.
The 2nd workshop will have a commercial focus but will also incorporate some stud focus as well.

We are holding our Boer Goat sale again this year on 8th November 💫

This sale will have a few changes from previous years, with the main change being that this year the sale setup will be held on farm at our property ‘Hendon Park’ at Bymount🐐

🐐The Auction will be a Helmsman Auction interfaced online via Auctions Plus commencing at 12 Noon. *Boer Bucks available from 14-16 months of age.

🐐On-Site Pre-Sale viewing will start from 9.30am until the Auction commences.

🐐Featuring a free mini info session at 10am on practical Boer Goat selection, provided by Janelle Stanford; Owner-Breeder & Qualified Senior Boer Goat Assessor/Judge.

🐐Prior to the Auction start there will be complimentary refreshments and some delicious ‘Goat Burgers’ 🍔 available so you can enjoy the quality of our product for yourself 🐐 …while you do your bidding🤩

We are so grateful to have been given the opportunity to attend and represent Boer goat Australia (BGA) and Hendon Park Boers, in supporting and acknowledging the incredible and dedicated work the Principal, Staff and all the Students do, and the support given to the school from your community !

…what a wonderful experience for the Agricultural Students with such an impactful educational curriculum to hold this event and proudly showcase their achievements!

…and how great for the Hospitality Students to display their skills and knowledge, and learn so much first hand from a very talented and inspiring person, celebrity chef Matt Golinski, to deliver a spectacular, unique and delicious culinary presentation for us all to enjoy😋🤩

💫New Projects💫

Well as the saying goes ‘when one door closes, another one opens’ (Alexander Graham Bell).

It was with mixed feelings we finalised our sale yesterday of our amazing property ‘Waterview’ at Lower Wonga. We purchased it in 2019 during the hard years of drought to support continuing our stock survival, and also wanting to try something new for us being Waterview Hay Production 💫

The awesome support from our customers that has been constant over the past years, and the belief in the quality of the Hay products and great service we’ve delivered has been truly appreciated, and we wish the new owners much success and continued support💫

It has been a wonderful experience and one that we would not have been able to have done without the support and expertise of our friends & Manager Mick & his wife Kay. These two wonderful people are great humans and the hardest workers and Mick’s knowledge, skills and perfectionism has ensured our success …we will be forever grateful 🤗🥰🙌🏻

Our focus now will be directed to a few long awaited projects that we’ve been wanting to do at Hendon Park with our Boer Goats, to continue to support others in the industry through hosting and engaging in some workshops & Training events, and importantly improve the efficiency of our Boer Goat operations, and reduce some manpower hours as we are aging gracefully 🤔☺️
