Please phone us on 6685 6899 if your furry feline is needing his or her annual booster. We will be calling those on our list, but may have missed you if your cat was already overdue or hasn’t been in to the clinic for a while.
We are hoping that the supply will last, but it would appear it is still a bit hit and miss , so get in early just in case!! 😻😽

It’s hot out there folks and all our patients are looking very grateful to be in our air conditioning lately!!!

Heatstroke is certainly something to be watching out for as the temperature continues to rise!
Remember to keep pets cool with shade, water and limiting outdoor activities during these extremely hot days.

If you notice signs of heat stress like excessive panting and lethargy, alongside drooling, vomiting, diarrhoea, bright red tongue, unsteadiness and staggering and excessive thirst seek veterinary care promptly. These signs are all alarming and would indicate veterinary attention!

Ruby is one of our lovely elderly clients who booked in for her Senior Health Check.
Dr. Kinza was able to carry out a complete health examination for Ruby and assess the signs of aging and how these may be effecting Rubys’ daily life.
This conversation can offer much peace of mind to both owner, and pet.

There are signs at home you can look out for that may indicate your pet is feeling some discomfort;

- Stiffness
- For cats, unwillingness to jump up on couches or ledges or for dogs, there may be hesitation getting in and out of the car
- Fussy appetite
- Weight loss
- No longer self-grooming
- Abnormal sitting or sleeping positions
- Panting without exercise, exertion or warm weather
- Pacing, unsettled behaviour
- Flinching when petted
- Hesitation to rise for usual walk time

The gorgeous boy Otto recovering from his dental procedure.🥰 Even though he is young, he has what is known as hyperplastic gingivitis, which is basically a painful overgrowth of the gum tissues. Springtime means grass seed season, and for something so tiny, they can cause a lot of big problems for your pet! The issues they can cause range from minor discomfort right through to potentially life-threatening conditions.
