Your story doesn’t stop there rusty now an orphan we start to come up with a game plan so you had a mumma!
We brought in our other beautiful mare ginger to see if she might take you along side her foal storm and whilst she did why we were around and let you drink she wasn’t super happy when we weren’t there but she got you through the day!!
We put out a call to see if we could find a foster mare and the amount of people that wanted to help out was amazing!!
We need to say a massive thank you to Brooklyn Beer and Patrick Beer for the lend of there amazing mare Julie, it was a perfect match as Julie’s little man had just been weaned so she was ready to go!!!
She has been an incredible mare took rusty on straight away no second guessing.
She is an absolutely beaBungendore Veterinary Surgeryer sensible mare which makes all this so worth it!!
And lastly a missive thank you to Bungendore Veterinary Surgery for everything they did for us over the last week from helping us getting him drinking to helping us get him on to his new mum we can’t thank you guys enough ❤️😊❤️😊

Well rusty man you are a week old today and wow what a week it has been of so many highs and so many lows!!!
This is the tough side of breeding not many people talk about!
Our beautiful mare Snowgum poison ivy foaled a stunning c**t Saturday morning new something was wrong fairly quickly he was so big he struggled to figure out how to drink 😂😂😂 after being tubed Saturday morning we finally got him on and off he went!!
Kept the pair in the box so they were out of the crazy rain which meant we got to keep a close eye on them.
We got through the weekend all well but bye Monday mum noticed that Ivy wasn’t quite right vet back up tubed her to hydrate her thought we were all good but unfortunately we were not lucky enough unfortunately we ended up having to put Ivy down Wednesday morning!
RIP Snowgum poison Ivy 😭❤️😭❤️

So Ginger gave up the goods lastnight..3 weeks overdue 🤦‍♀️
She ended up having a big black c**t with alot of leg. Both are doing great she's such a great Mum and he has alot of unfolding to do.So congratulations Harley Lidgard on your heritage c**t.
