Odin🐴 A little clip from today’s training. Last time we went for the first time through the mount and dismount motion. Odin had a person on the ground comforting him and I kept my weight very close/over him to not disrupt his balance. When we start to ride a young horse they will loose they balance when they have a rider on top⚖️ So before I want to hop on and ride I want him to experience what happens if his balance get interrupted and how he deals with the situation. Questions like: “What’s going on?” “Am I in danger?” “Do I need to flight or freak out?”💣Will pop up in his mind. It’s a fine line with asking to much and asking enough for him to solve this unbalance problem but keep his confidence and relaxation. By letting him step some steps forwards or backwards he is figuring out how to keep himself balanced with me laying on his back. The last 2 times he knows what to expect and counter balances when we go through the motion. What a good boy by doing it all by himself today🥰
