⚠️Tropical Low likely to develop near Townsville tomorrow⚠️
👉A cooler drier stable southerly airmass has pushed north past Rockhampton and Emerald.
☀️Fine sunny conditions across the southern half of QLD for the next 4 days. 💨 The strong gusty SE winds will ease back from tomorrow.
🔴 A very humid tropical airmass over the northern half of the state will produce plenty of storms and rain areas today and tonight. ⛈️Activity is likely to have heavy rain so flash flooding is a risk.
🔴 A broad low pressure system will drag topical north west to north east winds into a convergence area from Cairns to Townsville along a south east wind convergence reaching Mackay tonight. ⛈️This will lead to a high risk of very heavy rain and storms causing flash flooding in these areas overnight into tomorrow.
🔴 A tropical low is likely to develop along the coast near Townsville during Friday with a continued heavy rain and flood threat between Mackay and Cairns⛈️
🔴The low is then forecast to track east into the Coral Sea over the weekend with lingering storms north from about Townsville to Mt Isa⚡️ Will it form into a cyclone? Maybe...
