Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our resident Yaps cat Tippie. 😢
Many of you would have met / seen Tippie over the years, either in the cat boarding office or outside.
Some of you may have even had to step over her while she was having a nap on our front door mat. 😂
Tippie was nearly 17 years old and unfortunately old age caught up with her. 💔
You were a cranky old woman sometimes, but we will all miss seeing your face around here Tippie. x

🔺Assisted rehoming 🔺
Tom and Jerry are looking for a new furrever home! 😺😺
These boys are regular boarders with us here, they are brothers and the staff have very much fallen in love with them both. (we all unfortunately own too many cats already). 😢

Tom is the more outgoing, braver boy and will happily sit on your lap.
Jerry takes his time with new surroundings / people, and is a lot more timid.
These boys are a bonded pair and would need to stay together. They are up to date with their worming and vaccinations.

Due to the housing crises in Cairns, our boarding staff are urgently trying to assist their owner in rehoming.

If anyone is willing to save these two young, handsome boys, please get in touch with us and we can pass on their owner’s details asap.

We don’t get to see many Singapura cats so it’s always special when we have one come and visit us! Singapura’s are the smallest breed of cat, and they usually have lovely big ears and eyes! 👀

Fireworks can be very scary for cats.
If you go out tonight, make sure your cat has a safe place INDOORS to hide.
We don’t want to see any of our feline friends missing tomorrow! 🎆😺🎇

We would like to wish all of our boarding cats (and owners) a Merry Christmas!! 🎄
We are CLOSED on Christmas Day and Boxing Day to give our office staff a much needed break.

We will only have feeding / cleaning staff in here over the next couple of days.

We thought we would start collecting donations of PET FOOD to help our mates out at the Yaps dogs on the Northside of Cairns affected by severe flooding.
(we are all fine here in town with the cats, no flooding at all).

Any PET FOOD donations can be dropped off here at the Yaps Cat Boarding Facility.
167 McCoombe street, Bungalow.
(Our gate is on Cava Close, just park on the street and walk through the gate).
Open Monday to Saturday - 8am till 12noon and 3pm till 6pm.

Be safe out on those roads. 🫶🏻😺🐶

Bit flooded out at the Yaps dog kennels in Smithfield!
All dogs are now safe. 🐶
All of our cats in Bungalow are safe too. 😺
