So cute!!! 🐦🩷
At Edmonton Vet Clinic and Cattery we look after all animals big and small and oh boy were these little ones small. Baby birds are the cutest things and these poor little ones were found by a member of the public and brought into the clinic to be assessed and then passed onto a wildlife career to be looked after and eventually released back into the wild.

Happy Friday 🐾🤣🌟
We hope your Friday is going fantastic and you are having as much fun as Scrimshaw is with our Trainee Nurse Kayla in the cattery this morning.
One of Kayla's responsibilities is to look after all your feline friends when they stay in our cattery. Not only does her role include feeding, cleaning and grooming, she provides the much needed love, cuddles and play time with them whilst in our care 💜

Patient of the week is Sheldon 😍🐾💗
You would not know it by this video but Sheldon is a 13year old dog who has found his zest for life again thanks to Beransa!
Sheldon has had a rough few years and even beat a Thyroid Carcinoma. But like many geriatrics his mobility progressively got worse, he was unable to enjoy playing, going on walks became difficult and his general zest for life was not there. That's where Beransa came in.
Berensa effectively alleviates osteoarthritis pain for 1 month. It Functions like naturally occurring antibodies with minimal involvement of liver or kidneys and minimal GI impact. It works differently from NSAIDs by specifically targeting the Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), a key player in osteoarthritis pain.
We are so happy for you Sheldon! To see you running around playing again it is just fantastic.

Monday Madness 👀
We are seeing so many cases of this in clinic at the moment. It is becoming a very big issue to our beloved furbabies.
Any guesses as to what your looking at in the video? Focus on the part that moves.

✨🐱 FUN FACT FRIDAY
The discovery of Ear Mites in one of our patients recently has inspired us to inform you about Ear Mites, and the best way to prevent them.
While not life-threatening, ear mites are contagious to other animals and can cause severe irritation to your feline companion.
Veterinary Diagnosis normally requires swabbing your cats ears and checking under the microscope for evidence of the mites (as shown in this video.)
Fortunately Ear Mites are easily treated, and prevention options are readily available from the clinic.
🐶Loki is a VIP to our clinic!✨
He has a multitude of health concerns such as Epilepsy and Arthritis. He has had a long battle with Epilepsy and through the commitment from his mum and our team of Veterinarians we are please to say his epilepsy is currently well controlled. Because of his pre-exisiting health conditions Loki is unable to use some other medication for his arthritis as they are not safe to use with his Epilepsy medication . This is where Beransa comes into play!
It has been a game changer for Loki! Beransa is a once a month injection that has allowed him to play with his favorite toys again, he is able to move around more freely and is back to having a good quality of life!✨
With his Epilepsy and Arthritis being well managed it is so nice to see him when he comes in for his regular Veterinary appointments happier and healthier.🫶❤️
