I have a mini break between 29th December till 3rd January. I've promised myself to be refreshed and energised, stay healthy and happy towards to 2025.

I have availabilities from mid January ( first 2weeks are booked out), please send message on 0468920144 for booking if your doggo needs me🐾. Ideal time frame is 6-8 weeks between grooming. Especially this kind of weather causes skin irretation, sore paws due to moist and over grown hairs.

Thank you for your support throughout 2024. My grooming style won't change, always one on one. No rush, dog's feeling is the first priority.

Thank you for coming to Dogs in Style by Chikako and trusting me to groom your fur kiddos.
My thumb is recovering after 2 times surgery, last year November and May this year ( it was bone infection from grooming, somehow bacteria got through from nail to skin then destroyed bone).
I do groom everyone with 100 percent confidence and always special careful with a giant thumb( thumb didn't go back to normal size after surgery). Thank you for being patient and supporting me during recovery period.
I've been staying positive and happy. Because your doggos and Doggos family made my day everyday by Doggo cuddles, lickes and smiles.

I have Christmas day and Boxing day off for myself and my Harrison and Maddison.
Also have a time off between 29th December till 3rd January.

From January, I will put a price up $5.00 to $10.00 depends on size and hair condition.... sorry, electricity bill is killing me...

Have a lovely Christmas and wonderful New year for lovely Doggos and families.

Talking about allergy. Yes a lot of allergies. Vet said "it's an allergy but don't know from food, garden or air"then antihistamines or kind of calming tablets to script.
If your doggos lick paws, please check pawpads, no grass seeds there? Not matted between paws? Not overgrown hairs? Dewclaws are not touching nailbeds?
I as a groomer, I check everyone's paws first. It's very important part of body to support full body.
Please check yours , it's save vet bills.

Hello.
Please check your diary for your doggos appointment time and date.
On the day cancellation or no shows are too hard to reschedule another Doggos who are in waiting list. I have a blank time, well I can spend time with my dogs instead. However, I prepared all grooming needs ( suitable shampoo to be ready and more) first in the morning.

Please understand that how to work one on one grooming business.

Also, recently I take longer than usual to finish Doggos because, excess matting / remove grass seeds one by one / sore foot or ears (wet or moisture cause irretation or super matted paws pads) / blocked ears by overgrown hairs and excess ear wax, especially Oodles( I pluck a small amount by fingers and continue not to make it sore or sensitive if doggos hate to use a small ear hair plucker tool) and Refuse to standing up Doggos.

I do care all of you and I don't want to think grooming is yucky.

If delayed there is a reason.

Have a happy healthy Doggo day, that's my motto as well.

Overgrown hairy paws, grass seeds and matted hairs. It's very common for Doggos.

Grass seeds stuck between paws and pawpads + overgrown hairs, it's so painful. Walk on wet grass with hairy paws and leave wet paws = cause mats between toes and between pawpads deeply and cause irritation.

Once started knots and mats, it's painful for brushing both dogs and owners. Then surface brushing cause matted body, legs, armpits, ears and everywhere. (Always line brushing recommended and combing is good idea as well)

You may brush dogs before visiting me, however if you do so, please do not over brushing. Some dog's skin shows "instant over brushing syndrome".

I do my best to do dematting a small portion like ears, tail and legs but if hairs are matted way too hard, I need to clip or cut.

Grass seeds cause pain. Dogs don't want me to touch, even bathing time. When bathing and drying, I do remove all grass seeds from dogs. Some are cool, some are super not happy. I understand it, yes, it's pain. Also takes extra time to remove seeds one by one.
Especially on legs, matted paws and close to nails.

I have a sympathy of this condition but I need to trim and remove painful parts of hairs. I am sorry Doggos.

Sometimes, grooming become big challenge. Dogs don't want to touch or hold legs because of pain and fear "what's going on? , yes I understand it. Then start to afraid of or hate nails trim. It's bad circle starting.

I don't want dogs think that grooming is scared and painful thing.

I take a time to do all procedures as much as possible.

Once again, I do one on one and I am a bather and groomer and also cleaner after each dog grooming.

I do send message for delayed appointment time if running late due to many reasons. Please understand it. I totally understand that everyone has a daily schedule and I don't like to change appointment time but it happens.
Also, please come to your appointment time, "not too early or late".

I am appreciated to you all. Without your support, my happiness to spend time with dogs won't exist. Well, my dogs support me as well. But your dog's cuddles are so good.

I am talking very seriously now
About grass seeds.
It's harvest time everywhere. If you go for walk, yes, stick on. Play at doggie park, millions there. At your garden, may be.
It's terrible things and some dogs are very sensitive, some are not.
We don't like pain or uncomfortable, same as dogs. Please be mindful about it.
Brushing does help but you need to go through everywhere, I know it's not easy but think about if you have rose Thrones stuck on your fingers, it's pain. Same as dogs.
I go though every dogs full body each groomings. Some are very sensitive to avoid my hand touch which is so difficult to help dogs to be comfortable.
Check paws, not only between paws, pawpads!
Under this weather, a lot of dogs paw pads hairs are solid pebble hard and painful. Just imagine we wear shoes with full of rocks in. Same to dogs.
I don't force you to book next appointment as everyone has own life style.
But ideally, have grooming every ,6 to 8 weeks the longest in summer time.
Please touch your doggos pawpads. All smooth and comfortable?

I do groom for health and happiness.

If matted and can't cope with dematting session, I need to clip short.

Hate nails trim? I do my best but I need to avoid my injury.

What I say is home maintenance is very important.

Please understand if your appointment time delayed for reason, I am doing my best to your previous dog grooming.

Again, I do one on one grooming.

I can't take a call while grooming. I focus on your own dog/dogs.

I take Sunday off, if you prefer to book on Saturday, please book asap as some Saturdays are already booked out in December.

I do always one on one grooming style, no rush grooming, it's never change no matter what busy days or not. Therefore Only limited appointments can take a day. Doggos stay in a pen minimum time for waiting picking up. I don't hold Doggos in a pen long time which is comfortable for everyone.

I have a little talk.... I put a price up $5 to $10. If I don't see your doggoes in 3 months, I need to add $10.00. Regulars like 6 to 8 weeks, price up $5.00
Cocker hand stripping is $5 to 10 more than clipped.
I will advise you the price when drop off doggoes all depends on condition. Heavily matted.... We discuss the best option too.

Hi. I need to inform about a small change about a price. I kept a price low as possible but....I need to increase a bit like $5.00 to $10.00 from 2024. And price is based on 6 to 8 weekly grooming. If I don't see your doggo for a while, unfortunately I need to add an extra cost on base price. I don't charge per hour or time ( takes long to matted or knotted hairs to comb through before starting scissors or clipping), if hairs are matted or doggos kept moving...or hate blow dryer or noise ... Or.... It takes long to finish as you can imagine. I always do my best I can. Please accept new price. Thank you for your support 🐾

Hello. My Thumb is getting better, slowly but surely. Surgery scar is not bad however I have a hole on thumb bone which takes a time to recover or may be not really fill up hole forever. But I am good to do caring your doggos. Thank you everyone.
