I have a little talk.... I put a price up $5 to $10. If I don't see your doggoes in 3 months, I need to add $10.00. Regulars like 6 to 8 weeks, price up $5.00
Cocker hand stripping is $5 to 10 more than clipped.
I will advise you the price when drop off doggoes all depends on condition. Heavily matted.... We discuss the best option too.

Hello. Another hospital visit. Stitches removed. Once closed wound, I will be okay.
I totally understand your doggo's grooming needs. I want to be back as Auntie Chikako the groomer soon.
It's been a bacterial infection since 1st surgery in November, monitored by specialists. Unfortunately, the infection spread and required a second surgery in April, with tissue and bone removal.
I will inform updates next week.

Stitches will remove in a week time.
According to the doctors, surgery went well this time. Removed a chipped bone which stopped blood circulation and spread infection since last operation in November. Doctors admitted they left chipped bone left behind at previous surgery. I wonder 3 months antibiotics didn't work at all, only cause me weak and sick till now.
Will recover and see you doggos soon. Update information next week after hospital visit.

Back home and recovering. Cut and opened large area, no nail left but still have a thumb.

Hello. I am so sorry to inform this. As you may know my right thumb had an emergency surgery due to infection on November 2023. After surgery, I had received antibiotics treatment and many times of hospital , specialist and hand therapist visits......
It's not healed best way yet and needs another emergency surgery on 16th April 2024. I am just about to go theatre..... after today's surgery, I am not able to do groomings for a while.
I pray, I will be back to work with a perfect thumb earliest possible but at least 3 weeks out of work.

Hi. I need to inform about a small change about a price.
I kept a price low as possible but....I need to increase a bit like $5.00 to $10.00 from 2024.
And price is based on 6 to 8 weekly grooming.
If I don't see your doggo for a while, unfortunately I need to add an extra cost on base price. I don't charge per hour or time ( takes long to matted or knotted hairs to comb through before starting scissors or clipping), if hairs are matted or doggos kept moving...or hate blow dryer or noise ... Or.... It takes long to finish as you can imagine.
I always do my best I can. Please accept new price.

Hello. My Thumb is getting better, slowly but surely. Surgery scar is not bad however I have a hole on thumb bone which takes a time to recover or may be not really fill up hole forever. But I am good to do caring your doggos. Thank you everyone.

Hi. Who I contacted to reschedule appointment, I will get back to you soon. I promise.
It was a big roller coaster last 3 weeks. My right thumb was very sore. Mis- diagnosed as gout by GP. Back and forth between GP , X-ray CT scan. After CT scan, GP sent me to ED. It was infection to bone which fractured and broken by pressure.
It's been very pain but took strong painkillers to get though 2 weeks till ED visit on 20th. Emergency surgery required however, hospital stuffed up and rescheduled surgery even it was emergency to save or lose thumb.
Surgery's done. But no nail left and ..... It's a critical time to be monitored and healing period right now.
BUT, I am sure I will make all kiddos beautiful before Xmas but bit delayed your appointment. I am rescheduling advanced appointment doggos and get back to you soon.
I feel so bad to do this but please trust me and I am looking after your kiddos❣️

This is my story a bit. Well pretty long but I hope you understand me as English is my second language.
I am a full time dog groomer after finishing full time Government job.
I could not be with my dogs, Rubin, Jamie and Oliver enough while working early morning to late at train station. And they are at Rainbow Bridge doggo paradise now.
Now, I am enjoying my life with Maddison 10.5 years old and Harrison 3.5 years old, stay home dog groomer . They are vocal to your doggo but it's welcoming vocal by their way. Sorry Harrison 's voice is loud.
Dogs life is much shorter than us human and everyday is precious. As you do to yours, I do kiss, cuddles, talk and more with my dogs every day and a bit of brushing hairs🤣. When I have noticed something different or wrong by touching them, looking at eyes or.... I do concern.
As a dog groomer, I do care of your precious dogs like mine. Some of you , I see every 6-8weeks and auntie Chikako touches full body while bathing, drying and grooming. Grass seeds, any sore spots, unknown lump or anything little or big, I do inform you when picking fur kid up.
I do take times to groom dog as I feel muscles and fat😉while bathing, I look whole body while drying to check grass seeds, sore or any lumps.
Haircut is important and visually refreshing and "new look" after grooming but skin condition and health are also important too.
It's me. I love dogs and they make my life so glorious. Yes, your dog/ dogs make my day so beautiful.

Hello. It's my little brag of private life when I am away. We are at Woodstock ( out skirt of Townsville) for dog shows this weekend. No drinking water, no power at this place. Just enjoy beautiful weather and fun time. Camping set up for 2 nights. Generator is on. Fridge is cool and wine is super chilled.
Harrison and Cheerleader Maddison had an early dinner and nighty night for tomorrow.
This is my hobby and I love dogs as you know.

My Harrison won Best in show last weekend and we are keeping travelling a bit next a couple of weeks for dog shows.
Of course, I am doing grooming/pamper session during week.

Grass seeds are so evil. When I dry your kiddo, I check everywhere and if any grass seeds found, I remove all. Please check dairy if possible for your doggo's happiness.

Winter challenge for doggo mum and dad🐾❤️🐾
It's a Tropical winter here. We all rug up. Lucky doggos have hairs long, short, thick or thin. Natural climate control for them. But keep brushing if you like to them comfortable. Otherwise....if knotted...matted... Will be nudie haircut waiting.

This is Chikako from Dogs in Style by Chikako 🐾 I really appreciate who choose to come to my place. I love dogs and my motto is make them happy and comfortable. Sometimes Grooming takes longer than expected,re: coat conditions, dogs behaviour (like or dislike to touch, hate blow drying and more) and simply hate clippers or scissors. I don't do rush jobs. Safety is very important both of us. If you can't wait or quick job preferred, I am totally understand and please choose another groomer.
It's Sunday. My Harrison and Maddison 's pool party day. After fun day... shampoo, dry and undercoat stripping session to follow which they don't know🤣.
Welcome Kobi😊. A little Teddy bear girl. Velvet touch body, cutie face, paws and nails are comfortable, ear hairs all plucked and breeze though. I forgot to take "before pic" ( I thought I did...). Have a lovely Summer time❣️
