With the Easter bunny paying us a visit soon, it is vital to remember than chocolate can be incredibly harmful for our four-legged friends 🐶

If you (or the Easter bunny) are putting out chocolate eggs, it is important to keep track of how many and where they have been placed so you can later ensure all have been collected. The last thing you want is for your pupper to find one days, or even weeks later and help themselves 😢

Keeping your inquisitive pets inside or away from Easter egg hunts can also help them stay safe. If you are looking to include them, you can always set up a separate pet-friendly easter hunt of their own using their food, treats and toys instead 🙌

Symptoms of chocolate toxicity in dogs include vomiting, diarrhoea, rapid breathing, and seizures. If you suspect that your dog has ingested chocolate, contact your closest veterinary hospital or your local veterinarian immediately.

Hi Scruffy Pups customers
Unfortunately the doggy cologne coat spray I use on your pooches after their wash has been discontinued 😔
I have some new cologne to test out to see which is the most popular over the coming weeks to see which one I'll stock
Vanilla
Coconut ( tropical coconut )
Aroma ( lavender and chamomile )
Pink musk ( floral musk )
Powder ( baby powder )
They all Smell lovely but my preference I think would be Aroma I'm not a fan of lavender smell but smells nice and I also like pink musk and powder these 3 also seems to be the strongest in scent so may last a couple of days on the pooch . Please give me feed back if you were happy with the one that was used and if it lasted like my original cologne

Hello Scruffy Pups customers
Just letting you all know unfortunately from Monday 12th December 2022 due to health reasons I'll no longer be offering clips , hygeine tidy and brush out services on dogs my only service I'll provide from that date will be wash and dry service.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused if you need any recommendations let me know and I can pass on a few other grooming business but I can't confirm if their books are opened or what type of service they provide .
Once again sorry and thankyou for letting me groom your pooches over the past years

I'm just reaching out to see if anyone could possibly rehome this beautiful boy his a American staffy cross Mastiff and around 5 year of age his absolutely gorgeous out of all the years I've been washing him I've never had any problems with him and he has been around kids and is fine with them but unfortunately he will need to go to a home with no other pets and also has a fully contained yard
If anyone is interested or know anyone that could take him please be in touch and I can pass further details on

Covid-19 update 😷
Hi Scruffy Pups customers at this stage I'm still closed until at least the 10th of September when we will see if regional restrictions are lifted , for the safety of dog groomers and their clients NSW health have recommended mobile dog grooming restrict movement and only open for animal welfare purposes (example matting coats , skin conditions ect) and I'm also not allowed to travel to other LGA's so for my customers in Wollongong LGA i can only service your area for a welfare purpose and if that service can't be accessed in your LGA via another vet/groomer/salon . If any of my customers are needing their dog attended to anytime soon please get In touch with someone in your lga or please contact me if you have trouble doing so and I'll see if I can find someone that can look after you as I know there are some salon and mobile services operating still . So for the safety of myself , family and clients with the rising case numbers and health advise I'll be closed until September 10th and will confirm from then when I'll be operating again . Please don't hesitate to be in touch if you need help if your pooch is desperate for a welfare groom

Being mobile it's hard to have a QR check in - I've decided to do it this way by leaving it at the customer's door and having them scan it while I'm in the trailer and hoping it works the way I've planned so if any of my customers unfortunately ends up with a positive covid case at least my business will be recognised as they visited it and so it's a safety guard for when I go to other houses that can be tracked for them days . I'll also have a copy on my trailer door 😊😷🐶
Just think our pooches are getting more luxury beauty treatment then us 😁

Hi Scruffy Pups customers , I'll be operating from tomorrow in a strick covid safe plan as my service needs to be contactless where possible if we can all follow these rules to help keep everyone safe it will be much appreciated.

# please avoid coming near trailer where possible

# If paying by cash , if that could be left in a safe place that I can collect after I have finished, if paying by card I can send you a direct link that you can pay through the link that be sent via text, fb messenger or my business page how ever I usually contact you is best

# For the houses that I don't have external power supply where possible if you have a extension lead that could be left out from garage/window/door that would be great please make sure this cord is plugged straight into a power point and not a powerboard

# I'll have a QR code which I'll leave near the front door when I arrive once I have your pooch in the trailer you can scan in and logout once I finish. If that isn't possible that's fine I have all my booking written down with dates/times

# After every client my trailer and equipment will be Sanitised and hand sanitiser on hand on my trailer door and a mask will be worn at all times

# Where possible if I can access your pooch from the yard but I know some dogs will only let their owners pick them up or run and hide when they see me , so if I can't access them myself please try and have your pooch on a lead so it's easy and a safe distance to pass pooch over to me

# If anyone has been in a hotspot or is currently in isolation please reschedule if you're feeling unwell please reschedule I completely understand and cancellations on the same day is completely fine

# If you have a upcoming appointment and feel uncomfortable with me coming let me know so I can reschedule you back in also

# I'll be in contact with all bookings this week 1-2 days before to confirm your appointment

Hi Scruffy Pups customers hope all is well ☺🐶 just a quick covid update I'm hoping to be back and running on this Monday 2nd August but I'm just trying to chase up the correct information as I've been on the phone to service NSW and they told me is a big fat NO for me to operate . I want to do the right thing for not only myself and my business as that can be at risk if I operate incorrectly but also my customers safety , also if I can operate from Monday there will be strick covid measures in place for everyone's safety. I'm just trying to chase down some more correct information as I know some other groomers have stated they will be operating from Monday and I need to confirm if I can travel to different LGA's and also how far as this will affect some of my clients fingers crossed I get more info and will be back on Monday but I'll be in contact again by the end of the weekend . Hope you all stay safe and enjoy your weekend at home of course 🐶🐶🐶☺

Hi Scruffy Pups customer's unfortunately with the new government restrictions put into place yesterday I'll have to cancel all appointments up till the 30th July . At this stage I'll be booking in no more appointments till I definitely know when we are out of this lockdown phase but if you already have a appointment booked in for after the 30th your appointment will stay the same unless lockdown continues longer and I'll be in contact with you then , so hopefully after 2 weeks we will be back on track and go from there . For the customer's who have booked in over the next 2 weeks I'll be in touch with you to reschedule . Stay home , stay safe and let's all work together to fit this

At this stage in time Scruffy Pups is still operational with covid safe measures in place 😷 . Please if you have a upcoming appointment and have any signs of cold symptoms could you please be in contact with me to rearrange your appointment ( also cancellation of your appointment the morning your pup is due is absolutely fine too if you wake up not feeling the best ) or if you feel uneasy with me coming please rebook for when you're ready . If cases escalate or head down our way I will cease operation till safe to do so . But at this stage I'm still out taking each day as it comes and hopefully this lockdown can come to a end soon 🤞🤞🤞
