The month of April means alot to us here at Loyalty Pet Treats. It can mean autumn leaves, warm snuggles with pets and cardigan weather but most importantly it is ‘Adopt a Greyhound Month’. We’ve partnered with Friends of the Hound to represent a month that means so much to a great number of rescued greyhound owners and adoption centres.

Greyhounds are notorious for being loving and gentle dogs that love nothing more than a big cuddle with their favourite person. Unfortunately a large number are abandoned and neglected within the racing industry which puts a huge strain on adoption centres. Not only this but the abuse within the industry needs to be stopped and we’re advocating for the prevention of Greyhound abuse and breeding for the intention of racing.

🦴 What’s the deal with those cute looking shape treats? 🦴

There are so many cute and unique looking pet treats out on the market, now more than ever. The problem is that any treat that looks like it’s artificial is of course because it is. These popular treats often have an ingredient list longer than most human treats.

Often, these ingredients act as ‘fillers’ and preservatives for companies to cheaply produce treats that will last longer than their natural counterparts. Some even have flavouring and colours added and their long list of ingredients can lead to a long list of potential health problems for your pet.
We encourage pet owners to do thorough research before feeding your pet with something where you’re unsure of the ingredients.

We uniquely patented a dehydration process called ‘Nutrieseal.’ Not only does it lock in flavours better than any other treat dehydration process, but it also allows the protein to retain its nutrients. Alternative methods don’t always do this. Plus, with our Nutrieseal method, we ensure that bacteria is killed along the way unlike other pet treat companies.
