A wonderful afternoon was held yesterday at the Emerald Hotel in South Melbourne where we celebrated the Melbourne Cup victory with many of our friends.

Looking forward to repeating the celebrations when we return to Queensland, after a short visit to New Zealand this week.

Extra thanks to Jane and Andy Lewis and the team at the Emerald, Gary Gray for his inimitable interviewing, and to everyone who attended, making it one of the most special days.

Stakes Day tops off a wonderful Melbourne Cup carnival with a tremendous day of racing, and what a week it has been for the team!

We finish our trip to Melbourne with Winsome Star and Mission of Love in great condition to compete in races 1 and 3.

With recent Caulfield Cup and Everest winning jockeys Harry Coffey and Craig Williams aboard, we are in the most capable of hands!

A reminder that Knight’s Choice will be on course today, so looking forward to showing off ‘the little horse’.

Best of luck team!

A magnificent day in Melbourne for Cup Day and a similarly magnificent effort for the stable to have Knight’s Choice running for glory in the Race that Stops the Nation.

He gets his favoured dry track and has been trained for the 2 miles so let’s see what Petey and Robbie Dolan can do.

Best of luck to the Bains and the Waldrons and all who have helped get us to this special day.

Go Knight’s!

Robbie Dolan isn’t fazed by the $201 quote about the chances of his Melbourne Cup mount Knight’s Choice.“I’ve never worried about prices before and I’m not going to start now,” said Dolan.“He (Knight’s Choice) actually ran pretty well the other day in the Bendigo Cup. From barrier on...

In her first run for the Symons Laxon Racing stable, 4yo mare Lost My Nightie put up a very good performance to win the HUME DOORS Maiden Handicap over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Ridden by Samantha Collett, the Defcon mare drew well in barrier 1 and hugged the rail midfield until the straight wher...

A mile first up is usually a big challenge for any horse, but tonight was the perfect occasion for Lika Wreckin’ Ball to make his long-awaited debut with an immediate maiden victory in the Bold Design Kitchens Maiden Plate. Given plenty of time to settle by Robbie Dolan, the flashy Trapeze Artist ...

Terrific to have Mission of Love competing in the Geelong Cup tomorrow in a bid to qualify for the Melbourne Cup.

It is a time honoured race that has seen names like Dunaden, Americain and Media Puzzle victorious on their way through to Melbourne Cup glory.

The track might be firmer than hoped, and we have drawn wide, but we hope our girl can finish strongly and swoop in clear air over the top of them.

Winsome Star makes his Victorian debut in R4 over 1400m and he is loving the lifestyle and ready to go. Never easy to win first up at the distance but he should run a strong race.

Good luck to all connections and to Linda Meech who will ride both horses.
