It started with a dream. An old mirror from our renovated bathroom, a secret garden with a gate & a magical lock, a special key. Opening into a world of pure imagination for my beautiful granddaughter Alice.. The old mirror had to be reloved the back a painting of my imaginary world of Miss Mousy. The gate was built to fit the mirror, the back was the painting inside the secret garden & the front was your reflection. I will always remember the look of wonderment on Alice’s little face as she placed the key in the lock….

In memory of Charlie, the cat, a Christmas gift voucher from a daughter for her Mum has now become a portrait. With help from her Mum who only had a couple of old photos. We were lucky it gave her Mum time to go through her photos and find one of Charlie in colour.
