🌟 Last week was a big week full of "minis"! How adorable are these little ones? Meet "Fire," a one-year-old cutie, and "Patriot," the chestnut charmer at four months old, still sticking close to mom. Both are now happily embracing their gelding status. 🐴💕
Fun fact: Contrary to popular belief, gelding a horse when they are young usually results in them growing taller than those left as colts. In thoroughbred horses, those that are gelded early in life are, on average, around one inch taller than those left entire. This is because testosterone causes the growth plates in the long bones of the limbs to close sooner which prevents the bones from elongating and the horse from growing taller! 📏✨ #MiniHorses #GrowingUpFast #horsevet #equinevet
