Another few sessions with this youngster and today we introduced the bridle, no fuss at all!
Making sure we have some low energy sessions of bridling, leading, bending, yielding, halting, backing and postural influences.
Amongst the high energy sessions where the horse can learn that an increased heart rate trotting, cantering, changing directions and transitioning, doesn’t mean over excitement or worry, and they can still focus.

Dakiri is a lovely personable youngster, and is easy to catch, tie, wash, rug, float, good for the farrier etc. She has worn all of the gear without any fuss and had a few preps of work aligned with her age.

Indy giving Hamilton a ride - he is settling into work beautifully over his first handful of rides since having a break.
A beautiful TB gelding, lovely type and mechanics, with a fabulous background - some solid dressage & jumping training, and novice safe including lots of trail riding!
Looking forward to feeling how he continues to develop as he gets back into things!

Some young horse handling with this fellow for 2 weeks - coming in, tying up, hosing/washing, leading about (with other horses working around him) standing up in hand and trotting out.
A little boot camp having just turned 1, and also a little more prepared for some show outings now too!

A day of lessons @ Boorcan, amongst them - Leah and her two Standardbreds.
Bill in his second lesson with Leah with me, we are working on his rhythm and alignment helping his find the connection through his body.
Shadow is a seasoned lesson horse and his canter has been developing really well, popping off the aids into it, and maintaining it. Today was the first day of working on having him more connected and through in the canter, keeping the strides a bit smaller and everything more together. Legends 🤩

3rd session with this young lad; we started with some liberty work, and then we met the outdoor arena for the first time.
He is so incredibly athletic, everything is just so easy for him! And he is super keen and willing! Smart and quick in mind and body! What a future he has!
