Displays reactivity to dogs when feeling vulnerable so we worked on understanding what options she has instead of responding with aggressive behaviours.
We gradually exposed her from mellow to more active and provocative dogs to teach and reward positive and neutral behaviours from Nisha. ⚖️

Training and practicing skills during walks has many benefits:
1. To strengthen and proof behaviours.
2. For the dog to generalise skills by practicing behaviours in different environments.
3. To keep the dog engaged with you and more likely to follow commands even in the presence of alternate motivators.
4. To provide mental stimulation on top of the physical engagement of a walk or run.
From time to time I practice hand signals commands alone so that Ted can respond to them when he is far away, if I am talking or we are in a quiet environment.
