My Frightening Adventure: A Kitten’s Tale

Hi, I’m Wilbur, and I wanted to share my story! One day, not so long ago, my humans gave me a raw chicken wing to chew on. It smelled delicious, and I couldn’t wait to try it. But soon after, I didn’t feel so good. My tummy started to hurt, and I didn’t want to play or eat anymore.

My humans got worried and took me to the emergency vet, where they took some pictures (they called them X-rays) and found a small piece of bone lodged in my stomach that wouldn’t pass naturally.

After careful monitoring, I was transferred to my regular vet, where the team prepped me for surgery to remove the bone. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and after a few days of recovery under close supervision, I was able to go home!

Now I’m back and feeling much better. But I’ve learned something really important: not all human foods are safe for pets.

Bones, even ones that seem fun to chew, can splinter or get stuck, causing serious problems like blockages or internal injuries. Always prioritize your pet’s safety with vet-approved diets, and if you suspect your pet is in trouble, seek help immediately!
