We have them in Canberra now too. So please make sure your tick treatment, is not just tick treatment, apparently paralysis ticks require a special paralysis treatment. We learned that here in the middle of winter when my dog was returned from a weekend away with its old owner to the coast. Between the ticks and the Pneumonia she was returned ho.e with, I nearly lost my little girl.
My vet surgeon says there's only two tick treatments he recommends as successful against paralysis ticks, the one we are on now is bravecto. Please ensure it's not just ticks, but for paralysis ticks as well.
Enjoy a safe summer for you and your wee ones. 🌹

Attention Sydney pet owners: Tick season is officially here, and it's expected to be one of the worst yet. This week alone, we found seven paralysis ticks on a single cat, highlighting the severity of the situation.
Even during the colder months, we’ve seen numerous severe cases of tick paralysis, with daily reports of pets in critical condition.
Paralysis ticks are most active in spring and early summer, so as the temperatures rise, we anticipate a spike in cases.
Ensure your pets are protected with up-to-date tick prevention and perform daily checks—this simple routine could save their life.
If you’re concerned about ticks on your pet, don’t hesitate to contact Sydney Animal Hospitals. We’re here to help.
