I didn’t capture every dog today but it was a very mixed bunch of desheds, groomouts and trimming and spring fur cuts. The sheltie is a new one whilst the owner has moved back here for a bit . I do love shelties as my family used to own several of them. This one only has light trimming on paws and sanitary with the rest of her a groomout out and deshed to keep all that gorgeous floof lovely . I’m still limited with some dogs due to my back but it’s improving day by day

Was very glad to get back to work on Friday and Saturday last week after tweaking my back - small dogs and ones that don’t need lifting at this stage so if I’ve had to move you to another day do sorry. I still am very cautious if I bend at the waist but getting better slowly . A huge thanks to the owners that assisted but grabbing their pups odd the table for me do I didn’t have to lift them down after their groom.
As groomers we ask lots of questions before we take a new dog on esp if we do have old back injuries etc and we work alone. And this is a great example of why we do that.
I made the mistake of the previous weekend of lifting a 30kg dog on to the table and prob didn’t do it as carefully for my back as I could have and this is the result . Sometimes we can’t do that big dog that won’t get into the bath or table , or the dog that needs an extra pair of hands .

Get in fast for these hot weather bookings whilst there is still spots available. I’m booked out from 22 Dec through to Boxing Day but have some spots left in December. I also work between Xmas and new year just not on public holidays or Sundays in that period .

Big dog day yesterday . With a deshed for out rough collie girl, a short all over for Millie going to the coast for a little holiday so it’s easier to check for ticks, and a normal groom with big shampoo for Colin who loves to roll in the dirt so he runs mud every time I groom him 😂

3 gorgeous floofs groomed over the last 2 days . I didn’t get pics of them all . Star, Morty and Kip. Star is normally a short everywhere but she has a little top knot on her head this groom. Morty iis a short clip with some face floof left and lip is a deshed with a trim of paw pads .

Hi all with thanks to Zoe’s owner for letting me share this .
Zoe had 1 ear down today - I thought I’d share the diagnosis as to why in case you ever see it in your dog.
Zoe presented with a very swollen ear on Thursday/ Friday last week so then taken to the vet.
Vet has diagnosed that she has burst a major blood vessel in that ear. This is pretty obvious on a pointy ear dog but the swelling may show on a floppy ear dog too. It’s sore but she’s not shaking her head with the only symptoms being the ear was very swollen and the ear flopping down.
She currently doesn’t have an ear infection, hasn’t been swimming etc so this is something that could have just happened out of the blue - there are several remedies that the vet is looking at to treat it ( not sharing that info as not resolved yet) but just thought it was important to show this as it’s not something we as groomers see every day.

I’ve got a monthly Saturday 8am bath spot available if anyone would like it? This is a bath, dry and nails is spot only so won’t be suitable for jobs that require more time 😊
