I totally forgot to put up some pics of my big dog day last Saturday . Deshed day. The vacuum cleaner got emptied twice in one day due to the start of shedding season .

To all my current customers It’s that time of year again where I start putting in all your appointments for next year …… send me through your preferred days and times for next year via text message to my mobile based on starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. ( please keep Saturdays for those that can’t do a weekday ) and frequency of how often you want your floofer groomed and if you’re going away in Jan etc let me know

I do love this time of year- whilst I love doing longer haircuts I do love doing a shorter body and longer legs so you can see their cute little profile whilst leaving the ears long and fluffy. Manny the Havanese and Toby the Maltese x are cute dogs with trim little bodies that have swagger now . The shorter body gives an elegant neck and you can see their cute little waist and cute bum whilst the tails swish away on their walks

The gorgeous Tucker is. Wire coat Jack Russell. You don’t have to clip the fur off. I use a tool to ‘card’ his back stripping the long coat that is ready to come out then do it by hand on his head. Then scissor the long fur off the legs and feet and under his muzzle and Tada…. This is the end result . He still looks like a jack Russell but not super long fur where you can’t see his profile and beautiful face

I do wonder if this girl looks at the mirror and knows how cute she is. She’s a great girl for grooming but does get spicy for nails 😂 . But I’m forgiven when she gets her liver treat after

What factors into working out a price ? The amount of product, ( this guy gets a shampoo and conditioner that is for long coated dogs so that’s double the price of my everyday shampoo and conditioner but it gives a better result for me and the owner ) and then a detangling spray to help me stop the coat from knotting and I’m drying but also help remove any knots as I dry.
Then time to dry, deshed and trim ( 2hours) then clean up time - ( he filled a vacuum cleaner with his fur) and I see him every 2 months or so.
Then size - this guy is over 20kg so paws are heavier to lift to trim than a little under 9kg dog.
So this guy is on an hourly rate. He can be between $160-$200 depending on how long he needs. The owners give him to me Matt free but he does like to sit when they try to groom him at home. So it’s easier for me as I put him on an electric table that I can take up to the height I need and a belly sling under his tummy to support his weight but also doesn’t allow him to sit . Don’t forget off that price to remove gst and tax and that’s what it’s costing .
