Imagine it’s the weekend, your local vet is closed, and your beloved pet has suffered a terrible accident. The emergency vet is the only option, but the cost is beyond your reach. Vetpay declines your application. What would you do? 😟

This heartbreaking scenario is a reality for many pet parents—and it’s why 𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐏𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 exists. 💙

Little Khaos, a tiny kitten, faced this very situation. A tragic accident left him gravely injured, requiring urgent care and stabilisation, including oxygen.
Thankfully, the compassionate team at 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 (ARH) jumped into action. They prioritised Khaos's wellbeing, providing life-saving treatment while applying for $1,500 in assistance from our charity to help cover the costs. 🙌🐾

Today was all about the essentials! From vaccinations to arthritis treatments and worming, we were here to support pet wellness. Thiery the tiny terrier, Dozer the staffy, and Hiccup the wolfhound were just some of the stars who received their vaccinations. 🐾✨

🐾 Tiny Taco’s Big Rescue! 🌟

At just 6 weeks old, little Taco—a fragile Chihuahua pup—needed urgent care over the weekend. Being so tiny and vulnerable, it was crucial for Taco to see a vet right away. 🩺✨

For many adult dogs, pet parents might start by keeping a close eye on their appetite, energy levels, and bathroom habits when they seem a little off. But with a puppy as delicate as Taco, a condition can worsen rapidly, so early intervention is essential. 🐶💖

The wonderful team at Animal Referral Hospital Canberra (ARH) opened their doors after hours to care for Taco, and thanks to ACT Pet Crisis Support and their generous donors, $352.50 was contributed towards his treatment. 🌈💸

Because of your support, little Taco received the vital care he needed and is back to his playful self! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps us make these rescues possible, including the Petstock Foundation for their continued generosity and our supporters.

🐾 Meet Butch! 🐾

This gorgeous Staffy X recently visited the compassionate team at Tuggeranong Veterinary Hospital after experiencing some serious symptoms – nausea, vomiting, and extreme lethargy. Poor Butch wasn’t his usual joyful self, leaving his loving family deeply worried. 💔

Butch’s owner, who relies on the Centrelink Job Seeker payment, faced a heavy financial burden with Butch’s sudden illness. But thanks to the incredible generosity and care from Tuggeranong Vet, treatment costs were kept as low as possible. And, with the help of ACT Pet Crisis Support – who contributed $1500 towards his medical care – Butch got the vital treatment he needed. 🙏

💉 After receiving IV fluids and anti-nausea meds, Butch was finally able to head home, much to the joy of his family who missed him dearly. 🐶❤️

A huge thank you to the amazing Tuggeranong Vet team and ACT Pet Crisis Support for making Butch’s recovery possible! Together, we’re helping keep beloved pets safe and sound with their families. 🌟

🐾 Zeus’s Story: How ACT Pet Crisis Support Helped in an Emergency 🐾

Meet Zeus, a beautiful young pup full of energy and love for his family 💕. But recently, Zeus wasn’t his usual happy self. He was showing signs of toxicity, including tremors, hyperactivity, and drooling 😔.

His family had no idea what he might have consumed, but it was clear that Zeus needed urgent help.

The emergency team at CVES (Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service) quickly stepped in to provide care, running a crucial toxicity screen and administering supportive IV fluids 💉💧.
However, Zeus’s owner, who is on a Centrelink payment, faced the daunting reality of a potentially life-threatening condition with a costly emergency vet bill.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing supporters, ACT Pet Crisis Support was able to contribute $1500 towards Zeus’s treatment 🐶❤️. Without this critical support, Zeus’s outcome could have been very different.
We’re so grateful to everyone who donates to our charity, helping families and pets in urgent need.

Zeus is now on the road to recovery and back to enjoying life with his family 🏡🎉.

🐾 Snorky’s Journey to Pain Relief 🐾

Little Snorky, a regular at our Tiny Vet Clinic, recently started limping and showing signs of pain in one of his hind legs. 😢
His next clinic date was still a week away, and his owner couldn’t bear to see him in discomfort.
Instead of waiting, they made the caring decision to visit the amazing team at Molonglo Veterinary Clinic , who prescribed some much-needed pain relief to help Snorky feel better. 💊❤️

Chihuahuas, like Snorky, are prone to issues like luxating patella (dislocating kneecaps) and ligament problems due to their genetics. 🐕 It’s essential to pay attention if your pet starts limping—it’s a sign they’re in pain and need help.

We’re so glad Snorky is on the road to recovery, and we look forward to seeing him at the next Tiny Vet Clinic to make sure he’s comfortable and happy! 🐾💙

🐾 We had an amazing weekend with our paw-some buddies! We spent lots of time outdoors, sniffing around and enjoying the sunshine 🌞🐕. Whether it was a stroll by the lake, a game of fetch 🎾, or just chilling out with treats 🦴, we soaked up every moment together.

🎶 “Oh Snuggle Puppy of mine, everything about you is especially fine.” 🎶

That sweet little tune is often heard on TikTok and Instagram, but it immediately came to mind when Dozer’s owner sent us these adorable photos of their beautiful pup! 🐶💖 Dozer truly looks like the ultimate Snuggle Puppy!

But, as cute and cuddly as he is, poor Dozer recently found himself in a bit of trouble. Like many pups, he got into something he shouldn’t have and ended up feeling very sick. 😔 His owner rushed him to Kippax Vet Hospital, where the vets recommended x-rays to check for any obstructions in his gastrointestinal tract. Unfortunately, the cost was too high for his owner, who is a single parent. 💸

That’s when the amazing team at Kippax reached out to ACT Pet Crisis Support, and we were able to contribute $1100 towards Dozer’s hospital visit. 💙🐾

We’re sending all our love and well wishes to this Snuggle Puppy and hope he’s fully recovered from his little misadventure and is back to being his playful, happy self! 🌟🐕💕
