We loved helping Frankie and Johnny feel and look better. So happy they’ve found their forever home 🐾💕
Well would you look at that! ❤️
You've probably seen a fair bit of Frankie and Johnny in recent weeks here on Facebook, perhaps you've read their story? (You still can: https://buff.ly/3xdJgiy )
If not, a brief recap: Two Meramma Sheepdogs, horrendously thin, starving, weak, filthy dirty and needing a patient, 'all hands on deck' approach for us to save them.
And now? Just look at the photo. You should feel good about it. Both Frankie and Johnny are fit, healthy and happy.
A lesser talked about part of operating our animal shelter is our dedication to rehoming animals to their most suitable location. It is something we're very serious about and something we're proud of. (Whether or not an animal is alive and pain free is not the measuring stick of animal welfare; their ability to live a happy life is equally as important). These two were unsuited to a suburban backyard and we would not let them return to such an unfulfilling lifestyle. Now they live in bliss on a farm.
If you've shared a post, commented, adopted, volunteered, fostered or maybe even donated, you should feel great satisfaction in seeing how you have helped these two dogs to find true happiness.
