Christmas is just around the corner! If you will be going away over the holiday period, make sure to check whether your pets are up to date with all of their vaccinations and parasite preventions before you leave for your trip. If you are unsure whether your pet needs any treatments, give us a call at 6295 0770 for our lovely reception team to check over the phone for you. For any cattery inquiries, we are unfortunately completely booked out for both the Christmas and New Year period for cats and exotics. 🎅❤️

Diego came in today for some X-Rays to check the condition of his arthritis and was too cute for our team not to take photos with. Diego has had previous dental work done where most of his teeth were extracted, so his little tongue now hangs out most of the time. We think it compliments this handsome little guy very well 👅🥰

Summer is just around the corner which means it's almost snake season in Australia! Please remember to be careful when walking your dogs, as snake bites are most common this time of year. Since snakes typically like to hide out in shaded areas like within tall grass, try to avoid these kind of areas when out walking. If you think your dog has been bitten by a snake make sure to call your vet straight away ☀💛

This sweet girl Pepper came in last week to get desexed and made a big lab sized impression on the hearts of all of our team. (Hard not to fall in love with those big brown eyes!🥰) Pepper is a sweet tempered chocolate lab who is currently being fostered through the Australia Labrador Rescue and will soon be available for adoption. Ear infections are common for pets, so regularly checking their ears when you know what signs to look for is a great way to prevent further issues and discomfort in the long term. Some of the signs of an ear infection include:

💙Redness or swelling of the ear canal
💛Odor from ear
💙Scratching one or both ears
💛Increased discharge/wax
💙Darkened discharge
💛Scaly, crusty, or scabby skin in ears
💙Head shaking
💛Pain
