For those asking at the markets last week yes asparagus has started…..just. There will be a few bunches this week and hopefully the weather holds out and the quantity will increase over the coming weeks.

The frosts have come and the tomatoes are in their last weeks but winter greens will keep going through.
For those who asked for butterhead lettuce the first ones will be ready this week.

on a personal note I have to thank my Dad and Hideko for their ongoing support on the farm.

Greatful for the break in the weather and the help I got from my little farm hand. Able to pick plenty of fresh asparagus, rhubarb and some extra beetroot before the rain settled in and jumping in muddy puddles became priority.

After a few little breaks we are back on the farm now through to Christmas.
People have been asking at the markets about asparagus and I'm happy to say that this week we will have the first pick, which from our farm is always white. available this Sunday at Southside Farmers Market
