Meet beautiful Bob. He was in today to have his oesophageal feeding tube removed because he is back to eating well. Poor Bob had the tube placed to help maintain nutrition during a nasty episode of haemorrhagic gastroenteritis. We are so happy Bob is now feeling like himself again 💕🥰

🚨 Attention Pet Parents! It's time to update your pet’s microchip information! 🚨

HomeSafeID, which is a microchip registry company often used by rescue groups as well as breeders, will soon be closing its online services. If your pet is registered with them, you'll need to transfer your pets registration to another company, like Australasian Animal Records or Central Animal Records.

Why does this matter? If your pet’s registration isn't updated, it means if they ever went missing then vets, pounds and shelters won't be able to access your pet’s details when their microchip is scanned. This could make it much harder to reunite you with your furry friend!

Don’t know your pet’s microchip number? No problem! Simply contact us, the pound or the RSPCA to have your pet scanned and get the number.

Need help updating your pet’s registration? Give us a call or visit our friendly reception team – we're happy to assist! 🐾

It's set to be another hot day.
Have you heard of the pavement test?
If you can't hold your hand on the hot pavement for longer than five seconds, it is too hot for your dog to walk on. Take your dog for a walk in the early morning and late evening when it is cooler and make sure to pack a water bottle so your dog can drink occasionally. If you are concerned about your pet in the heat, call your vet right away.
