I've had lots of questions from riders and parents in relation to the recent road closures related to the Tonkin Hwy extension. Unfortunately we are right in the middle of a number of road closures affecting access. The info below is the area that most impacts our property. Hopefully this helps!
🚧Hopkinson Road and Gossage Road Permanent Closure Update 🚧
Thank you for your valuable feedback to the recent public notice, issued by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, relating to the permanent closure of Hopkinson Road and Gossage Road. All submissions have been carefully reviewed and, where possible, incorporated into the traffic management arrangements for the area.
From Monday, 3 November 2025, A section of Hopkinson Road will be permanently closed between Cavanagh Close and Gossage Road and Gossage Road will become a permanent cul-de-sac at the Hopkinson Road intersection (Map in comments). These closures are required to facilitate the next stage of works and enable construction of the Tonkin Highway Extension and Gossage Road Equine and Pedestrian underpass.
We understand that road closures can be frustrating, and we want to assure the community that these changes were made with careful planning and safety in mind. These closures are essential to maintain safety for road users and our workforce as construction continues across the project.
