Roulette had the beauty treatment last night all ready for an outing today which got cancelled. Never mind, for a few hours he was clean and he was very appreciative of the attention 🤩

Just putting the word out there that I am on the lookout for a quiet older 16hh+ horse that I can use for lessons with beginner adults. I currently have a very cute TB gelding but he is unfortunately not happy with beginner riders. These lessons always start on the lunge but the ideal horse must be happy enough to work in the large arena safely as well. Very good lifestyle offered, would only be doing a couple of lessons a week, would suit a semi retired comp horse. Hi friends, I am still on the lookout for a live in person in my cabin to help with horses. Prepare feeds and clean 2 stables am and prepare feeds and sometimes feed up at night if I am teaching or out. 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day, depending on person in exchange for free rent and utilities. I am managing on my own but having been sick for the last10 days and still having to go out in cold to feedup etc, plus getting stuck on freeway and not getting home until 8pm after a 3.30pm drop off at the airport has convinced me that it would be great to have someone here who can cover for me. Felicity Paige did a fantastic job of looking after the horses and dogs while I was away and I very much appreciated her help, unfortunately she has other commitments and I am on the lookout again. Please spread the word.

LIVE IN POSITION AT ACACIA RIDGE Acacia Ridge Stud, Carrickalinga SA. (70km south of Adelaide on Fleurieu Peninsula). Unfortunately Kristy, who has been with me for the last six months has had to leave for health reasons and I am looking for someone who would like free accommodation, air conditioned self contained cabin in exchange for aprox 1 1/2 to 2 hours help with stables and mixing feeds. Only two stables, on rubber bases, currently two yards as well but that is temporary as I have a rehab case needing yarding for another couple of weeks.

I have recently had back surgery and am finding cleaning stables is wrecking the good work the surgeon did.

We are on 80 acres, overlooking the sea, ten minutes to three beautiful beaches. I do have three delightful agistees and pupils who are here regularly so there is company if wished or helper can keep to themselves if they prefer. I am also a Level 1 EA Coach and have school horses which can be ridden or opportunity to bring one horse with you.

I need someone who can mix feeds am and put on trailer ready for me to take to paddocks and then clean stables, Nothing else needed until pm feeds at 6sh and that can be prepared am ready for me to just take out. Would suit uni student or retired/semi retired person. This person will also be responsible for doing feeedups and checking horses when I am away on holidays.

I also have two dogs and two farm cats plus chickens, I take care of them normally but again, if I am away it would fall to the helper.

Livein position available at Acacia Ridge Stud. 70km south of Adelaide on 80 acre property overlooking the sea. Looking for someone with horse knowledge who can prepare feeds, clean two stables and sometimes 2 yards in the mornings and prepare feeds ready for me to feed out am and pm This person would also be responsible for looking after property when I am on holidays, same procedure but involves taking feeds out and checking horses as well as preparing, looking after 6 chickens and 2 dogs in my absence. I provide a self contained cabin, no electricity or water costs. possibility of bringing one horse. This position is available now, would love to hear from anyone interested. Could suit a uni student or a semi retired person, not heavy work, should only take about 2 hours a day, but must be reliable and honest. Call Denise on 0409 124324 to discuss.

Verity and Heathmont Roulette, finishing third over the year despite missing most of it, a brilliant start and then rider injuries, not horse injuries put them out of action, bring on 2024 .

A very big weekend at Mt Crawford for the SA Dressage Championships. First big event for AR Rio and first time taking Roulette and Rio away together. Both beautifully behaved all weekend. Congratulations to Verity Hayman and Heathmont Roulette, won both their Medium tests, Medium AOR Champion and then we just learnt that he also won the trophy for Champion AOR combination over the entire two days, unfortunately no photo with the trophy but lovely to hear that they did win it. Thanks to Verity's long time coach Ron Patterson for helping her with the long road to this achievement. Also many thanks to Horseland for the lovely rug and massive thanks to the Committee and volunteers for running this event. So much work going on behind the scenes to get the event on the road. Boys now both happily grazing in their paddocks and having a little well earnt break. Many thanks also to Maree Gunner for holding the fort at home while we were away.

Acacia Ridge Bacardi is currently in training with Ria Grivell, she is the last of my youngsters who are looking for a new home.
she is a super young mare, is now 5yo, Andrew and I backed her over about a 6 months period, took her to PC and the beach in January and she is now getting some formal training with Ria. No vices, loves to free jump, was super over small grids at home with
Andrew. is willing and sensible with three very correct straight paces. Passed a vet check last summer before she was backed.

Acacia Ridge Bacardi having her first beach ride and second outing. PC for the Christmas break up and now a super beach ride, had to cross the creek which was quite deep and very sinky, plus waves, such a very brave girl. Thanks to Andrew for riding her for me and Dagmar Klingenböck for coming with me and bringing Stack for company. This lovely young girl is looking for her new home, she is the last of my youngsters, is by Bravo Romulus (Salute/Precipitation/Falkland Victory/Flaneur) out of a Hanoverian mare. Ready to start with her new partner, still green but going very well.
