As you may be aware, there will be some detours in place from tomorrow due to bridge works…..but don’t despair…..we’ll be open and we can assure you that it’s worth the extra couple of km’s it may take to get to us!! From our $1 clothing racks - our everyday low prices for the rest of our clothing racks - $1 books and excellent range of bric a brac and collectibles - affordable furniture (have I forgotten anything??)….it’s always worth the effort to visit us!!

It has been brought to our attention that HomeSafeID microchip registry has closed down.

If you have a pet registered with HomeSafeID they will need to be transferred to another company to ensure shelters and vet clinics can access owner information to reunite lost animals with their owners.

If you aren’t sure which microchip company your pet is registered with, you can search your pets microchip number on petaddress.com.au and it will tell you which registry they are with.

If you aren’t sure what your pet’s microchip number is, you can book an appointment with us to bring them into the shelter and we can scan them and check for you.

If your pet is currently registered with HomeSafeID you can transfer them to one of the following registries

Central Animal Records - car.com.au
Australasian Animal Registry - https://www.aar.org.au
Global Micro - https://www.globalmicro.com.au
PetSafe - https://www.petsafe.com.au

Most animals adopted from our shelter are registered with Central Animal Records, however some animals have come in already microchipped with HomeSafeID so please check on petaddress.com.au to be sure.

Drake is looking for his forever home.

He would love to find a home where he feels safe and has some other ducky friends to keep him company. He is easy to handle, but he does get a little nervous.

He requires a home that has ducky knowledge and can give him a great life.

Yakka is a survivor! He was very nervous when he had first arrived as he had a hard life living on his own out in the bush for some time.

Yakka has now come out of his shell and is showing us his full self. He has a very quirky personality and is a big couch potato. Yakka loves belly rubs and head scratches and will happily laze around with you, receiving all the attention he can get.

He does not like dogs but tolerates cats and is getting better at being around them.

Yakka is a desexed, male white and black domestic short hair.

He is 2 years old.

Tim is a sweet young boy with a friendly and loving nature. He enjoys spending time with people and has a good balance of being relaxed and playful. Though he is easy going, Tim is still a young dog with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

Tim has basic manners, but he will benefit from ongoing training to help him reach his full potential. When he gets excited Tim sometimes jumps and may nip a bit in his enthusiasm, so consistent training and guidance will help him channel his energy appropriately.

Because Tim is a Kelpie, he is very intelligent and will learn quickly, he will need an owner who has the time and patience to work with him and make him the best dog possible!

Rocky is more than just a dog, he is a companion who will always be there for you. Having a tough start to life, Rocky dreams he will find that special person of his own, who he can regard as a dog’s best friend for life. He loves cuddles as much as he loves food.

He has basic training and will need a large yard with high fences where he can run around to his heart's content. If a cuddly giant with a heart of gold is what you're after, then look no further, Rocky is the one for you!

Ringo is a little gentleman looking for a comfortable retirement home. At 15, he has earned the right to do his own thing and enjoy a peaceful life. He enjoys napping, sniffing and exploring. He would love a soft bed and plenty of blankets to snuggle up in.

He has had dental work and is hard of hearing, which he likes to use as an excuse to ignore and take no notice of any commands or instructions! Although, he does understand hand and body signals.

He would love a cozy spot with a contained yard where he can relax and soak up the sun. He does have some anxiety, but once he gets to know you and feel comfortable with his new surroundings, he will settle in just fine.

Pet Show 11 am Saturday at the Show Camp Reserve . 2/11/2024
Register your pet $2 entry fee for the pet show . Dogs must be on leads . Rabbits , Guinea Pigs , in carry baskets or cage. Birds in cages. Be sure your pet will be ok to attend. We do not want them to be scared .

MAAW are donating their time to steward the Pets section with guest Judges. They will be selling wares to raise funds for the animal Shelter.

Zachy boy is a couch potato. He will give you company watching TV, sitting around the house by the heater or relaxing in the sunshine looking at the world go by.

He enjoys strokes and chin scratches. avoiding the bottom part of his back as he experiences soreness and tenderness in his lower back. He is a smooch and very affectionate and will advise you when he wants to be left alone.

A small amount of medication and supplements in his food is an easy way to keep him content, happy and comfortable.

He would love to find a home with no other moggies in his space, therefore can be given all the love and attention he deserves and wants.
