Our passion for birds involves not just enjoying their beauty but also intervening when the need arises.

Our recent heat wave which reached temperatures of up to 45.1C required us to ensure all our birds were kept as cool as possible with sprinklers and misters. But as nature has it, the eggs of one of our pairs of Blue and Gold Macaws decided to hatch.
So……….we had no choice but to take them from the nest box and allow them to continue their hatching in the incubator.

So these two little critters are now 2 and 5 days old and thriving.
Needless to say our work is now cut out for us.😀

We have two Galah X Major Mitchells which are presently
being hand reared. They will be available when weaned
(estimate 2 weeks).

They make great pets and we only get two each year.

We regard them as little monkeys and make great pets.
