May you rest in peace beautiful girl, Miss Mary a one in a million horse, a gentle giant! We are thankful for being able to be part of your life and to be honoured with being able to provide you a safe haven for your retirement. In your 33 years on this earth you provided not only support for many TB foals in your early years but also provided a safe and reliable mount for many years in the riding school industry teaching kids and adults alike to ride then going to a beautiful home with a lovely family where you spent many years teaching the girls about equine husbandry and giving them a life long love for horses. Thank you for being the Clydesdale that made me fall in love with the breed, I feel honoured I was able to provide you the support you needed in your final years. You are an amazing horse with a heart of gold and your memory will live on in all the hearts you have touched. We will always love you beautiful girl forever your memory will live on in our hearts RIP Mary❤️

This beautiful bird has been handed into our Bonnells Bay Hospital after being hit by a car near Morisset. No obvious signs of trauma and no identification rings If you have any information in regards to its home please contact us on 49731411. Proof of ownership required.

Our access currently is limited due to the rains, luckily being on the foothills all animals are safe on high ground though everyone is feeling cold and wet during this time.
to keep everyone warm and comfortable we are currently going through a lot more straw, shavings to keep everyone dry hay and feeds to keep everyone's bellies full to ensure to keep their core body temperatures stable during this time. We also have to clear debre from fence lines and do minor repairs.

During this weather and following it please keep your eyes peeled for injured or misplaced animals. Please check fallen trees, ensure outdoor pets are safe and warm with a full belly. Check on animals regularly and if possible bring inside if not possible provide entra protection from the weather and extra bedding to ensure they are cosy and warm.

Not to mention inappropriate use of rat bait also causes many other native animals horrible long excruciating unnecessary deaths including Possums, Native rodents, Bandicoot along with many other native birds of Prey!

The birds we call torturers live a love story that many humans could envy. They choose only one mate. For the rest of my life.
This is where the saying "like two little birds" comes from.
But when one of them dies... the other one stays. Alone. In so much sadness, it's hard to even explain
This photograph captures that very moment — silent, without a shout. That silent and desperate pain that you can’t see right away, but it hurts like hell.
Because true love doesn’t fade with a single stroke.
And you... you can decide whether or not to be the one who breaks it.

Please help us replenish some of our supplies, after the rains and with winter upon us we really need your support!
Our rescues feed supplies are extremely low and with winter upon us we need to try and cover the increased feed intake not to mention the cost increases due to supply and demand changes since the recent floods.

As little as $20 will assist with a 20kg bag of equine cool calm that will assist us for approximately 2 days worth of feeds, biomare $33 a bag, pollard $18.50, $27 will pay for a bag of chick starter, $23 will pay for a bag of neocare for our baby birds requiring hand raising, $38 will buy a bag of mixed chaff that will last two to three days, $17 to $22 will cover a bale of Lucerne hay to feed out for one day. $40 covers a bag of Copra, $26 covers a bag of cracked lupins to be soaked and fed out, $27 covers a bag of wild bird that will cover 2 days depending on fresh fruit and veg available daily.

We also need to replenish our medical supplies including perishables, medications, combine, vet wrap just to name a few.

This is just a handful of examples of some of our day to day expenses.
