I can’t do them much earlier as I need to have the day sufficiently booked so I can work out my timing.
And any less than 2 days leaves me a bit open to not be able to fill the spot should I get a cancellation.

I’ve never been accused of being subtle, so why start now?
I’m mad….real mad.
In 2 hours of my morning today, BOTH my clients were a no show, despite having confirmed their times. I left home at 6.30 this morning, I won’t make any income until 9.30am. That’s 3 hours I’ve been driving and waiting around for clients to not turn up. Im working until 7.30 tonight. 13 hours (3 of those hours a waste of my time)
I am busy. I am booked out 2-3 months ahead. I have 50 spots a week, that’s it.
No more.
That’s how I pay my mortgage, that’s how I pay for my car, horses etc.
Last week, those horses went down to 35. That’s 30% of my bookings. 30% of my income. How would you be affected if 30% if your income just vanished?
That’s 15 horses I’m not doing, with not enough notice to fill those slots. And 15 horses that I now need to fit in somewhere else in my already booked out schedule, putting my good clients even further down the queue.
This is how it works- the day books out, I put everyone in order (almost daily I’m driving 200km+, so this part is important). Unless you tell me ahead of time what time you need, I cannot read minds. If you need after 2pm, please tell me at the time of booking and I’ll accommodate as best as I can. I can’t move my entire days bookings last minute to accommodate the time you may need.

So here’s what I need to do.
🚫If the appointment is cancelled (less than 24 hrs) twice- please find another dentist (obviously emergencies happen and that doesn’t count!).
🚫If the appointment is cancelled late notice (less than 24 hours) I will ask for pre payment for the next one, and unfortunately you will have to wait, or get someone else.
🚫If you don’t turn up to the appointment despite confirming, you will be charged IN FULL PLUS TRAVEL for the appointment. There won’t be an opportunity to rebook, you’ll have to find someone else.
🚫If you don’t pay for the appointment in a timely manner (within a couple of days) you can…… you guessed it! Find someone else.

I have too many good, reliable, promptly paying clients to be inclined to take on any who aren’t.

I am trialling some different booking systems but really, I don’t want to have to do that. I don’t want to ruin it for the good ones in order to safeguard myself.
And I can’t take deposits from every single booking, I don’t have time for that.
I already send reminder emails, confirmation messages…..what more can I do!!!!

That was a lot of words to essentially say- you respect my time, I’ll respect yours.
You waste my time- I’m gonna charge you for it.
