🐾 Meet Digger! 🐶
This brave little Boston Terrier came in for his desexing and nasal wedge resection surgery — and he handled it like a champ! 💪🩺

Desexing (castration) is a routine but important procedure that helps reduce the risk of certain cancers, prevents unwanted litters, and can even improve behaviour and quality of life.

Digger also had nasal wedge surgery, a procedure that opens his narrowed nostrils — a common issue in brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds like Boston Terriers, Pugs, and Frenchies. These dogs often struggle to breathe due to their anatomy, which can lead to snoring, overheating, and serious respiratory issues. 😥💨

Nasal surgery helps improve airflow, making it easier for these adorable squishy-faced pups to breathe, play, and enjoy life to the fullest! 🐾❤️

🐾Tick Season is Here – Protect Your Pets!

As the weather warms up, ticks are out in full force, and our furry friends are at risk! These tiny parasites can cause paralysis tick toxicity, which can be life-threatening to pets.

Signs of Tick Paralysis:
🔸 Weakness or wobbliness, especially in the back legs
🔸Difficulty breathing or changes in bark/meow
🔸 Loss of appetite or vomiting

Prevention is Key:
⭐️Use tick prevention treatments such as yearly injection, oral medications,
spot-on or collars (ask us about the best option for your pet!).
⭐️Regularly check your pets for ticks, especially after outdoor adventures. Pay close attention to the head, neck, chest, and under the legs.
⭐️ Keep grass short and bushes trimmed in your yard to reduce tick habitats.

They’re already showing their cheeky personalities! 😍 While they're not ready to be released just yet, we’re hopeful for a bright future back in the wild.
