Sad to report the passing of Ken May at Naracoorte Hospital overnight.

Long time friend and associate, highly respected for the contibutions he made to young people as instructor at Longreach Pastoral College and through his clinics Australia Wide and throughout the world.

Our thoughts and condolences to his partner Anita and to his children Lee and Rochelle and all his family.

"The Dinner and both Auctions met with terrific support. About 130 people at the dinner and they gave wonderful support to the Auction on Thursday night. A huge thankyou to Jim Ryan and the Darling Downs Branch Australian Stock Horse Society for allowing us to hold our Auction in conjunction with their sale and to Ray White Rural Dalby and AuctionsPlus for conducting the Auction.
It is said that you reap what you sow, Ken must have sown a lot of good will and relationships to elicit this huge response.
A MASSIVE thanks from us to all who travelled so far to attend, to the donors and to all who bid on the sale items.

SHOUT OUT - WE HAVE HAD GREAT SUPPORT FOR THE KEN MAY TRIBUTE CLINICS WITH Clinton Anderson and Chris Cox making substantial contributions from the States. Thanks to the Mackay District Branch ASHS. Jason Leitch and Matt Sargood held a strongly supported and very highly successful clinic in Central Queensland. Sean O'Hanlon has a clinic booked for November, more info on this as it comes to hand. Ken has been professionally instructing since 1972. He spent 12.5 years at Longreach Agricultural College as Senior Horsemanship Instructor where he was instrumental in putting together the equine curriculum . Then with partner Anita Martin he has been running clinics ( horsemanship, cattle work, c**t starting and more) around Australia . Ken has influenced and been mentor to many in rural Australia. In 2018 Ken had a medical episode and he is still conducting clinics but his medical needs are ongoing.
Ken has influenced a lot of riders and trainers in the horse industry, many who have made a great contribution to the rural sector. As a way of giving back a number of them are holding a series of clinics as a tribute to Ken and to help with the costs of treatments.
We will use this page to keep you updated on the clinics as details become available ( some will end up being filled just by word of mouth)

We are also in the process of organising a Testimonial Dinner for Ken, and also an auction. - Details to be finalised.
