"Cedar Valley"

31/03/2024

It's with sadness that we close the rope side of our ourline store and business.
It started in 2010 when John Buzolic from Rope Online first sponsored Ian to where we had an online shop and Virginia had a lot of fun with so many patterns and colours the rope could come in. But exciting times ahead expanding the Farm business and Cedar Valley Brangus. There will be more time for Virginia to work with her working collies.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the rope business over the years, we have met a lot of lovely people , both in person and over the phone. Really have appreciated the support and the loyalty to our products.
Wishing everyone the best for the future and remember
"What you accept today, you can expect tomorrow "

New dog's digs. Thanks to Swifthill & Co. They are a local family, just outside of Murgon, QLD. Custom made, includes a whelping cage, where we can put up dividers for whelping when needed. We dont breed very often so didnt need a dedicated whelping box.
Thanks to Sarah Swift for cage images.

Ian has been inducted into the Australian Reined Cow Horse Association (ARCHA) Hall of Fame. We would like to thank those involved with the ARCHA for their support of the nomination.

⭐️⭐️ Hall of Fame ⭐️⭐️

The ARCHA Hall of Fame recognises the people who, over the years, have contributed in many ways to the organisation. These men and woman have been so impactful in our sport and have shaped the course of Reined Cow Horse in Australia.

We were so proud to induct two Hall of Fame inductees at our recent National Finals and the first we would like to present to you is Ian Francis.

Ian has been training and showing cow horses since 1970 and has won all major cow horse contests in Australia - his name is undoubtedly synonymous with Reined Cow Horse.

Ian has conducted cow horse clinics in all Australian states, NZ and Canada. He has also conducted the cow horse segments of judging clinics for the AQHA and the Horse Show Assoc. of Australia on numerous occasions.

Ian has been both a mentor and a benchmark to so many in the Reined Cow Horse arena and we are extremely pleased to induct him into our Hall of Fame.

More on the Tribute to Ken May
"The Dinner and both Auctions met with terrific support. About 130 people at the dinner and they gave wonderful support to the Auction on Thursday night. A huge thankyou to Jim Ryan and the Darling Downs Branch Australian Stock Horse Society for allowing us to hold our Auction in conjunction with their sale and to Ray White Rural Dalby and AuctionsPlus for conducting the Auction.
It is said that you reap what you sow, Ken must have sown a lot of good will and relationships to elicit this huge response.
A MASSIVE thanks from us to all who travelled so far to attend, to the donors and to all who bid on the sale items.
Thanks to Gita and Errol Thomas for their help and guidance and to Sean O'Hanlon for all his help though out. " - Ian Francis
