We had another awesome group of riders here for the long weekend from NSW, enjoying the sites and tastes of the King Valley. They were wined, dined and educated on the local history. Such a lot of fun! Thanks ladies x

Fabulous weekend with 8 gorgeous Riders at Rose River Run this weekend. Lots of exploring through the turquoise mines and some tastings at Chrismont Winery with dinner out at the local restaurants and cafes. Thanks to all our locals who helped along the way too. Hi all, we are getting quite a few enquiries asking if guests can ride out by themselves or if we can provide maps.

At present we are only offering guided rides as most of our rides are through private properties then into State Park/National Parks. As you can appreciate, we have spent many years developing working relationships with neighbours and local businesses and discovering the safest and most interesting ride options, plus it’s our income.

Thank you however for all your enquires and we will do our best to accommodate your group and budget and will happily see to bookings/recommendations to local attractions and eateries as well as in house options.

Fantastic weekend with the Mansfield Trail Riding Club (ATHRA). 24 beautifully behaved horses and riders and some extra family members came to enjoy Rose River Run in the King Valley and we were delighted to show them our backyard! Thank you also to Mountainview Hotel, King River Brewery and Chrismont Winery.

Welcome to our new business venture hosting horses and riders at our beautiful property in the King Valley, North East Victoria.

The aim is to create a safe and social camping environment for groups of riders to enjoy their own horse whilst we guide them into interesting destinations in the surrounding mountains.

Rides can include a guide into the local turquoise mines, lookouts, caves and rock formations, streams and rivers, wineries, cafes or bush trails and bush country.

Your hosts Kayleen & Jamie are fully qualified trail guides and instructors with Horse Safety Australia and Australian Trail Horse Riders Association and come with a varied and extensive background of horse riding disciplines including dressage, working equitation, eventing, hunting, carriage driving, high country horseman, cattle mustering, team penning, skill at arms, mounted archery and jousting.

We welcome you to contact us directly to book a stay with us with a minimum of 5 riders where we can tailor rides to your experience and budget. Most of our rides are between 3-5 hours but we are flexible to your requests. Our base fee is $260 per person which includes 2 nights stay for you and your horse and two guided rides (with 2 guides) up to 5 hours each ride.

Facilities are constantly being built and upgraded but currently we have 14 small individual double fenced paddocks with water troughs, an amenities block and a BBQ/camp kitchen shelter.
Guests are to provide their own accommodation arrangements (float, tent, swag etc).

We are happy to organise bookings to the local pub and restaurants for dinners.

We are also developing a clinic base with a 43m x 80m sand arena, mountain obstacle course, mounted archery course, skill at arms and working equitation course for hire for clinics and competitions.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing your horse riding journey.
