This happened by accident yesterday! Mucking around building more strength and letting Kurt have a play resulted in him working at liberty 😳😳
Not as reactive in this video as he was but he would have to be the laziest boy out there hence the whip flick 🤪
But into canter of my raised arm and halt of the click and square of course like the good dressage boy he is (he does not face up in case your wondering why he did not turn in)
We’re out and about today with our our tiniest members. PJ and BB are sharing Icecream today as little Witchy has unfortunately suffered with the itch too much to have a halter and bridle on her tiny ears all day.
Hacking done this morning with great results and super riding ❤️
Stay tuned for the update tonight 🥰
Casually taking the boys back to their paddocks.
No saddle 😱 so unlike me 😂
Such fun ponies 🥰
Only problem - I went grocery shopping after not realising Ahoys hair had stuck to me…everywhere 🤣😳
Someone please remind this little girl she is only 3!! Cantering on her own for the first time ❤️
More importantly little Jack didn’t put a foot wrong, really progressing with his hand signals - no words used! If you watch my arm you see Jack change pace depending on the angle of my arm.
Little different from the pony that we started with 7 weeks ago ⭐️
Introducing little Jack!
Jack is visiting us from Sydney with the view to work on safe cantering for children.
Jack is training using the clicker and what success we are having!
We’ve had Jack for almost 5 weeks and both kids are helping with his training. When he arrived we had kicking up in canter transitions- not ideal for kids pony!
We’ve done loads of ground work as well as under saddle with both myself and the kids. As a safety measure we’ve worked on Jack allowing us to run next to him while trotting and cantering both ways so a child can be held if needed, as well as commands for walk, trot and canter on the lunge which flow onto the lead all done with no rushing and steady transitions.
This video is of BB and Jack attempting the canter on the lead for the first time. Absolutely thrilled with his effort (and hers)! You can see me click and reward his attempt and this will develop into more and more strides as confidence is built.
Another bonus is he is working on walk to canters in command from the lunge!
Such a cool dude 🥰🐴🏆
