Bromac Aladar is a 2nd Cross Australian Stock Horse Stallion, born in 2000 and has sired well over 150 foals. Aladar did not compete under saddle due to a paddock injury. However, he can be caught easily and ridden ba****ck and in halter any time. Aladar has exceptional temperament. He is quiet and cool yet very responsive under saddle. Anyone can ride him and he is very cowy. Along with height of

15.2 HH, he has excellent conformation in body, legs, mouth and feet. He is a great looking horse from all aspects, extremely agile, with great movement and athleticism. Aladar puts a very dominant “stamp” on his foals, with 99% of them being “unusually attracted to humans” from an early age. This trainable, quiet and “hard to offend” attitude of the progeny is his trademark as a sire. His progeny have had great success in a range of disciplines such as showing , polocrosse, pony club and campdrafting. Aladar is DNA colour tested as Homozygous Black, which means it is impossible to throw a chestnut foal, and guaranteed a black foal if bred to a black mare. The service fee of $990 includes GST and Live Foal Guarantee (LFG), along with preparation of the mare for service by a vet. This mare preparation includes follicle testing and scanning of the uterus leading up to ovulation, right through to post-service to check the s***m arrived in the uterus at service. The mare is scanned again the next day to ensure that the uterus is clean. . A handling fee of $220 is charged each cycle the mare is at EVDS on heat to be served and this handling fee is deductible off the $990 service fee once the mare is preg tested in foal. Care of mares: Mares will be agisted in individual yards at our veterinary clinic under the care of Dr Oliver Liyou and EVDS’s equine nurses at $30 per day. This includes unlimited supply of good quality lucerne hay/water and Breeda pellets twice daily, cleaned yards twice daily, rugging if required. Chilled and frozen semen is available, but must be paid prior to shipping. Chilled semen is $pls enquire inc GST per pregnancy and the first collection is included in the $pls enquire. Frozen Semen is available in lots of 5 “mares doses” for $pls enquire. Freight of the semen is an additional fee. About his Pedigree:

Do you often read “progeny with trainable temperament” in stallion ads?

What does that mean to you? 🤷

It can mean different things to different people i guess? 🤔

But if you would like an example, can i offer you the story of Isobelle Muller and her dressage pony Dynomite!

Purchased for $1250 as an unbroken 5 yo by a quiet humble 12 yr old girl from Nana Glen (Isobelle) , this gelding by Bromac Aladar - out of a full QH mare called Chilli, Dynomite & Isobelle are now regular competitors at Advanced Level State & National Dressage comps - often picking up ribbons.

These 2 started in pony club, had a crack at most equestrian disciplines, and now they rub shoulders with some of the fanciest dressage competitors in the country.

Now that, in my opinion, is trainable temperament! 👍🏆❤️

What does the term mean to you?

Aladar’s going to have a busy weekend with these 3 lovely mares arriving to see him! 🙏

🌟 The Importance of Conformation, Movement, and Temperament in Selecting a Breeding Prospect 🌟

When it comes to selecting an equine breeding prospect, the decision is not one to be taken lightly. The future of your breeding program hinges on the careful evaluation of three critical factors: conformation, movement, and temperament. Each of these elements plays a vital role in determining the overall success and longevity of the offspring produced.

🔍 Conformation refers to the physical structure and appearance of the horse. A well-conformed horse typically exhibits balanced proportions, strong bone structure, and soundness in its joints. These traits are essential not only for performance but also for the health and longevity of the horse. Poor conformation can lead to a myriad of issues down the line, including lameness and decreased athletic ability. When selecting a breeding prospect, look for horses that exemplify ideal breed standards while also demonstrating functional athleticism.

🏇 Movement is another crucial aspect to consider. The way a horse moves can indicate its potential for various disciplines, whether it be dressage, jumping, or western riding. A horse with fluid, powerful movement is more likely to excel in performance settings. Observing how a horse moves at different gaits—walk, trot, canter—can provide insight into its athletic capabilities and suitability for your specific goals. Remember that movement is not just about aesthetics; it directly impacts performance and soundness.

💖 Temperament is perhaps one of the most overlooked yet essential factors in breeding selection. A horse's temperament affects its trainability, behavior under saddle, and overall suitability for various riders or handlers. Horses with calm, willing dispositions are generally easier to train and work with, making them more desirable as breeding prospects. Additionally, temperament can be hereditary; thus, selecting horses with good temperaments can help ensure that their offspring inherit these positive traits.

In conclusion, when evaluating potential breeding prospects, it is imperative to take a holistic approach that encompasses conformation, movement, and temperament. By prioritizing these key factors, you set the foundation for producing high-quality equine athletes that will thrive in their respective disciplines while also promoting soundness and good character.

Investing time in thorough evaluations today will yield significant rewards tomorrow! 🐴✨

DOC BAR revolutionized the cutting industry in a way never seen before or since.
The 1956 chestnut stallion was foaled on Tom Finley’s Arizona ranch. He was by Lightning Bar by Three Bars (TB) and out of Dandy Doll by Texas Dandy. He was bred to run, but failed miserably, earning a total of $95 in four starts.
He was given to Charley Araujo of California to show at halter. This endeavor seemed doomed to fail because Doc Bar did not fit what the judge’s eye had been groomed to see. He stood a scant 15 hands and did not have the punched-together look of his contemporaries.
The halter industry was ripe for change. With Araujo at the lead and the stallion’s unique conformation, the guidelines for halter horse champions were altered almost overnight. Out of 15 shows, he won nine grand champions, and one reserve champion.
Doc Bar attracted the attention of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Jensen of Double J Ranch in Paicines, California. The couple had pieced together a broodmare band of Poco Tivio, Hollywood Gold, King and Leo mares, and was in the market for a stallion. Doc Bar fit their needs and the couple bought him in 1963 for $30,000.
Over the following years, Doc Bar sired National Cutting Horse Association Futurity winners, world champions and top-10 horses. A few progenies include Doc O’Lena, Dry Doc, Fizzabar and Doc’s Kitty. He was the grandsire of Smart Little Lena, Tenino San, Docs Sangria and Don N W***y.
In AQHA competitions, Doc Bar’s get amassed nearly 9,000 points and won multiple world championships.
The key to Doc Bar’s success was summed up by Charlie Ward, manager of the Jensens’ ranch, “is that he’s so consistent in his type. His colts are all uniform and possess a lot of sense. They’re easy to train, they have a lot of natural ability – every one of them is cowy.”
Doc Bar was euthanized in 1992 at 36. He was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 1993.
Biography updated as of march 1993, credit to AQHA.

Makes me feel not so silly after-all, but we bred them before our grandkids were even planned or born 🤠🤣

Sometimes the best genetics are right on your doorsteps.

Star Black Minstril continues to show up in the leading Australian Stock Horse competition horses and Doc Bar’s genes need no introduction in the USA and Australian pleasure horse scene. Acres Destiny is a double cross of Doc Bar.

Being by a Star Black Minstril sire (Yaranoo Stroller) out of a Peppys Doc Bar mare, Bromac Aladar continues to produce extremely versatile, trainable horses with good feet, leg and mind.

But he’s rising 24 and won’t be here forever!

This 20 month old filly owned & bred by Charissa Winter is as nice a filly as you can find when it comes to conformation, trainability and looks.

She’ll be dual registered ASH & AQHA .

Aladar and EVDS all very proud of his gelding son Dynomite - (out of Lindsay Lucas’s QH mare Chilli) owned, trained and ridden by Isobelle Muller - for now competing Prix St George and Advanced dressage - seen here competing at the recent National Dressage Championships - winning the Advanced and being Awarded Reserve Champ Pony Dressage overall!

Not bad for a $1250 bush bred stock horse - started at 5 yo by a 12-13 yo Isobelle - to be now mixing it with the fancy German Riding Ponies!

Well done to you Both!!! ❤️

Apparently it’s stressful being a stud! 🤷‍♂️😩

Aladar went off his food of late after we took his wife Hotspurs Spoton and put her in the adjacent paddock to foal, plus he’s been teasing the mares here for AI to outside stallions.

So we gave him an injection of omeprazole and he got his apetite back, so he’ll get 2 more doses after this one.

03/10/2023

Nice to see another Aladar baby winning the heart of her starter! 🙏
