Want to give something back to the CFS? Why not become a volunteer? There are support roles that you could consider if being a firefighter is not your thing. Come along on the 16th Feb to find out more.

Become a CFS Volunteer

If you want to be part of a team that really makes a difference and would like to know more about how you could help, then come along on Tuesday 16th February @ 7pm.

Whether you’re interested in being a Firefighter or in a Support role, we will tell you what’s involved, and how to become a member. We even recruit Cadets from the age of 14, so come and see if there is a role that suits you.

Volunteering is very rewarding and Clayton CFS is dependent on local community members to give some of their time to help make our community a safer place.

So, come along, you can even have a go!

Your local fire brigade needs you! Clayton CFS relies on community members to step up to man the fire truck to keep our community safe. Will you be that person? We are particularly targeting young to middle aged people who are reasonably fit who can become Breathing Apparatus operators. We need your support....

We would like to inform the community that through negotiations with the council we have managed to secure community access to the oval again and hence our Bushfire Last Resort Refuge is now operational again.
Under the current arrangement the brigade holds a key to the access chain at the end of the car park which we will open on total fire ban days. We are not entirely happy with this process but at least the community now has some access into our refuge area.
Can we please highlight again though that this is only to be used as a LAST RESORT if your personal Bushfire Survival Plans have failed. It does not replace a personal survival plan.

Things look pretty magic from out here. This particular snap of the Milky Way over Lake Alexandrina was taken by our friend (landscape photographer) - and has captured the beauty of one of our lesser-known Lake communities - Milang. There’s beauty and history to this little lakeside town, and with only a short drive to the region and Murray Mouth - it makes for a relaxing weekend destination to escape the hustle. Pop in for a visit soon - we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 🔭⭐️🌒

Angry! Bamboozled! Disappointed! Outraged! Saddened! Annoyed! This is just not the Clayton Bay we know and love! Why would someone do this?
Numerous hand made leaves have been removed (or attempted to be removed) at the shelter shed! If you have information about this please message me. Whoever did this needs to know that this is just not on! If you really want leaves, they could be made available - just ask!
