Chillies….

Did someone say it’s summer in a few days??
More rain to come apparently.
All our summer veg is up, plum trees are full, citrus on the trees and the chillies are doing their thing.
Next market is this Sunday at the Geelong Waterfront Makers & Growers Market.
The 7pot Cherry sauce will be available, this is the last market here before Christmas.
Orders can be taken up to the 20th of December.

Chillies….

We work hard to provide organic chillies for our products, and the other day we had one of our full upright freezers full of chillies die!!
The whole lot was thrown in the bin.
So now we don’t have certain chillies for certain sauces.
The chillies we lost are not available to buy as well.
Damn shame as we have 2 chilli festivals next year!
So now we have planted up our small grow this year, we will need to wait for them to grow.
Hoping for a wonderful season of summer veg and eventually loads of chillies.

Made a 7pot Burgundy and cherry sauce and it’s perfect for the festive season.
On the website and available at the next two markets before Christmas.

Late planting…

We have hardened up the chillies in the poly tunnel these last few days.
They are still small but should be hardy enough to plant out.
I’m ITCHING to get them in the ground, it’s the latest we have ever put chillies in. Although it seems our season’s are changing!
This coming Sunday we are at my favourite market the Drysdale Community Market come by and say g’day. Loads of local producers, Becks Honey, doggie treats with Beastie Bites and loads of other artisan makers.

Summer veg….

Big day in the garden yesterday, planted zucchini, corn, pumpkin, cucumber, chillies, more tomatoes and flowers.
So we are looking forward to some beautiful fresh organic food soon.
The pepino’s have been plentiful this year, a great fruit for all gardens.
We have two markets before Christmas, so I am taking orders for hampers, either ring or pm me.
There will be a special on the website starting in December.

Spuds are up..

Spuds, garlic and onions are up and our summer veg is starting to come on.
The plum trees are loaded! I wonder if the bees had something to do with that!
We have a market this coming Sunday at Geelong Waterfront Makers & Growers Market from9-3pm
Plus a bonus long weekend!
So work on the new pergola will commence.
Chillies are still slow.

Hello guys, Stephen and I would like to thank all of our customers who have supported us down at our local and favourite market Drysdale Community Market Today was the last market until October. We have been doing this market for 10 years now, and we used to go every month for years before trading there. It was the best market on the Bellarine Peninsula and it is sad to see less and less quality traders, or indeed any traders. We understand that the economy is not the best for people at this time, so that is another reason why there is less attendance to the markets. Things will get better, we are staying positive.
