After a good week to reflect on it all. I’m finally able to sit down and have a moment to write this novel.

The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition 2025 presented so many challenges from weather to timing. It was the definition of chaos.
However, even though we all ran around like crazy people. I still managed to have a fantastic time and from what I have read, others did too.

Thank you so much to every single competitor that gave it their all.
Especially those of you who competed for the first time. I am honoured you chose The Pup Cup to be your first and hope that you continue to visit this competition and others around the country.

All contestants were humble when they won and even more humble when they didn’t.
All too often the ‘dog world' receives a negative view of how people treat each other.
At the Pup Cup, I saw nothing but encouragement, respect and admiration for each other.
There were many new faces and many wonderful breeds exhibited over the whole event.

I was so excited these wonderful people agreed to judge!
Thank you to Jovy Lee, Kong Guy Boonkerd, Amy Jonas, Jacinta Van Beek and Narelle Raby.
I am blessed to have mentors such as these people who have shaped me into the groomer I am. It made perfect sense to share them with other groomers.
Thank you for giving all of the competitors valuable feedback and approaching them with enthusiasm and fairness. I am sorry about the time delay but feel it was made up by your positive critiques to encourage the growth and learning of the contestants. I have had countless groomers message me with nothing but brilliant feedback about all the wonderful pointers the judges gave. You really out did yourselves and should all be bursting with pride.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Sophie, Sara, Helen, Levi, my friends, family and all of the wonderful people that assisted with setting up tables on Friday.
From picking up a broom to making people feel welcome, I am grateful for all the work that you did to make this event the best it could be.

To my partner James, having your support was my strength with the overwhelming yet empowering work load this competition brought. I am blessed to have you.

Thank you to the foodies that battled the weather, Coastal Soul Food, Mr Ed Coffee and Juice Cart and Get Whipped Cheesecake Cones. You delivered us with delicious food and drinks all weekend. I can’t imagine cooking whilst being soaking wet so please know my heart went out to you and I am grateful you carried on.

To the one and only Maree from Camera Plus Dog. My goodness you really know how to capture an event! I have enjoyed getting to know you, see your stunning work and can’t wait to see you again next year.

To all of my clients and show contacts that permitted strangers to groom your dogs. With your help you gave opportunities to so many to have a beautiful model to work with. It can be a trying time finding the right dog with the right coat for a competition. To assist with that, speaks volumes on how wonderful you all are.

To all our supporters, stall holders and sponsors. I am deeply grateful that you jumped on The Pup Cup crazy train and hope that you had a wonderful time.
You gave everyone the opportunity to network and most importantly make this event even happen.

When I first started The Pup Cup in 2017, I was oblivious to how it would turn out. It has now tripled in size and is still growing with more countries joining in the fun for next year.

I am deeply grateful for everyone believing in the 'little fish' and I am excited to see The Pup Cup develop in the future.

I wasn’t quite ready to announce The Pup Cup photos yet, but word’s out – and I know some of you can’t wait! 🐾

Saturday’s gallery is complete and over half of Sunday’s is ready too. If you’re unsure whether all your images are up, the easiest way to keep track is to create a Favourites list. That way, once I officially announce the gallery is complete, you can do one final check to make sure you haven’t missed anything you’d like to order.

I’m still working on getting everything in the best chronological order (so apologies if you feel like you’re time-travelling while scrolling).

It’s been so lovely seeing followers grow — whether you found me through The Pup Cup or have been following along for a while, I’m so glad you’re here!

To everyone eagerly waiting for your images from The Pup Cup, thank you so much for your patience. I've been sorting through thousands of adorable moments and have officially started preparing the gallery. There’s still many days of editing ahead, but I promise to keep you all posted on progress — and I can’t wait for you to see the magic captured!

And for those waiting (so patiently!) for Christmas sessions to open, i'm so sorry for the delay. I absolutely understand you’re keen to lock in dates and start planning your festive fluffball moments, and I truly appreciate your patience while I finalise everything behind the scenes.
